Making up false facts to defend her is in fact defending her. |
Wait. Are people trying to say they don’t think there are dumba$$ MAGAs in Winston-Salem? We even have them here in DC - just look at this thread.
|
She explained the situation and a friend chimed in. Unless you’re calling them both liars. |
I'm arguing the irrelevance of both southern Virginia and North Carolina and their regional universities to those of us not involved in manufacturing whose affiliations are confined to supercities. There is a different poster discussing "woke liberal elites." |
When she hysterically pushes anti-trans news stories she's RWNJ. |
Over a dumb tweet? Or over a dumb tweet plus being anti-trans? Not quite the same situation in reverse. |
1. UVA is not a "regional" university. It is Virginia's flagship university and #25 in public universities in the US. A regional public university in Virginia would be somewhere like ODU (Hampton Roads) or Longwood (central VA). 2. This is the second or third time you've said southern Virginia in reference to UVA. Not sure why, as Charlottesville is nowhere near southern VA. 3. Wake Forest is a private university and not affiliated with the state of North Carolina other than the fact that it's located within NC's jurisdiction. |
| I made the mistake of reading to see what some people on a conservative subreddit thought and someone actually said "SHE STUCK A PATIENT WITH A NEEDLE SHE SHOULD BE SUED FOR ASSAULT" Lmfao. |
Here we get to the heart of the matter: you believe maltreatment of certain protected classes is totally fine, so you won’t admit the scenario in reverse is exactly the same just with a different protected class as the issue at hand. We all know that if the scenario was reversed, the student in question would be receiving copious death and rape threats from the transactivist crowd, as well as calls for expulsion. Your post above just about admits that. |
What is the patient's protected class here? |

It is unfortunate this is being politicized and that people speaking their opinions are being attacked.
Her behavior needs to be addressed - it was clearly unprofessional, immature, and not compassionate and not what you expect from future health care professionals. But it would be extreme to expel her for this single incident. If there is a recurrent pattern of behavior suggesting she lacks the compassion and empathy needed to be a future physician, then this might call for a more extreme action. She needs to receive some additional training on what constitutes professional behavior and she needs to be monitored to see that she complies. Training on how to use social media, training on how to ensure your personal feelings and attitudes do not impact on professional behaviors. This would be the most appropriate consequence, not expulsion. The school should also look at their processes for selecting students for admission - maybe they need additional screening procedures going forward. |
We don’t know (properly) but it is very likely that there is at least one (religion, disability, age, etc.) if not more. Someone in the hospital is much more likely to belong to a protected class, and so it’s highly likely the patient is a protected class member. |
Exactly. |
LMFAO |
Ah, so you admit that it is 100% correct that in a reverse scenario you would calling for expulsion, and probably death and rape. Sounds about correct. |
