NC medical student brags on Twitter about deliberately harming patient who mocked her pronoun pin

She should be kicked out of Med school for that.

That is disgusting and I hope she is reprimanded. She is openly admitting to medical malpractice. Medical professionals encounter a variety of patients from different backgrounds with different beliefs but they have an obligation to do no harm and provide the same standard of care. She clearly posted this on Twitter so she could virtue signal and get praised but it had the opposite effect.

That’s pretty obvious to me too. she was very wrong and should be disciplined. The patient was also a complete ass. However, two wrongs do not make a right.

And Twitter says she is being disciplined by the school.

Disciplinee for what? No one believes she intentionally did anything.

She missed the patient’s vein after they made a comment regarding her pronoun pin. How was that not intentional?

Not only that but she shows a total disdain for patient care and privacy violations. She also opened up the facility to a lawsuit by the patient.

This was my question.

Why wouldn't they?

How far do you want to take this? Can I wear a pin to work declaring my socially conservative worldview? Or one that says "Jesus is Lord"? Or does that courtesy only extend to those with more liberal views?

Tons of people wear a cross. Noone makes a fuss. Why does a pin trigger you?

What makes you think it does?

Don’t be naïve. She missed on purpose. Or she was extremely unprofessional and bragged about missing. Either way the school stated they’re looking into it.

So if someone gets her really, really mad then what will she do? Not administer pain medication, deliberately harm a patient in another way? What she did shows a total disregard for the medical profession. If residency programs actually do a simple Google search she is never going to get matched. Her whole career as a doctor could be over. I would never willingly want her to treat me.

That is unacceptable behavior. My husband is a doctor, my niece is a doctor. Doctors are supposed to be made of sterner stuff.

This person should be disciplined.

What an idiot. No residency program is going to want her after this. She let her desire to be woke and virtue signal override her judgment as a medical provider. Harming a patient because they had the audacity to question her pronoun pin when she’s clearly a woman makes her look unhinged. I understand being passionate about something but some of these trans activists are not right in the head.

Where do you see that? I think she was distracted and I don't believe she "deliberately" missed it. Where is the proof?

If she’s so easily distracted that she misses a vein, she shouldn’t be in the medical field. Did you see the thread on Radonda Vaught? Easily distracted medical professionals kill people.

What? How was that intentional?

Is character and fitness not a part of medical licensing? Kick her out and give her spot to someone who will take their professional responsibility seriously

That is a completely different question.
