Political Discussion
NP here. You really undermine any credibility when you try to pretend Harris has limited qualifications for VP. She's a former state AG and Senator, having won multiple state-wide elections in one of the largest, most diverse, and most populous states in the country. You don't have to like her, and you don't have to think California politics is representative of US politics. But referring to her by a position she hasn't held in over a decade really says way more about your bias and sexism than it does about her. |
Susan Rice would have dragged down the entire campaign with Benghazi references from July 2020 - November 2020. We never would have won. Period. Kamala Harris is a former District Attorney, U.S. Attorney General and U.S. Senator. With her on the ticket we raised $500 million in less than two months (the Biden coffers were bone dry before her announcement on August 12th). I think she's done a fine job at home and abroad representing the U.S. and is always on the ground working. I admire that. Obviously others don't. You'll have your chance to say that in the 2024 elections. Good luck.

Can you please remind me of what elected office Susan Rice has ever held? Oh, right. None. So, in her case, higher office could include city council even. Do you people even understand the concept of representative democracy? |
I also think this is the reason the Republicans are after her and were before she was announced as the Vice President nominee. They knew the Biden campaign was dead in the water until she was brought out. Had the Democrats nominated a firebrand like Bernie or an unknown like Val Demings we would have lost. They want Harris gone in 2024 for the same reason they wanted her gone in 2020 - she brings in the campaign dollars and the California PAC support. |
To win California you just have to win either San Francisco or Los Angeles. That’s the race. Each city has their own US Senator who could care less about the rest of the state. Not that impressive, really. |
| No one is interested enough inVP Harris to buy a book about her. Megan's appeal is he proximity to royalty. |
|
Seems reasonable given that she thinks the work she's been assigned as VP is beneath her. She's a lightweight more interested in the spotlight than the work. |

Tell us about it, if you know so much. |

It's gonna be trickled out a little at a time for maximum damage!
Bravo

| I think she has failed at what should have been her number one job—promoting the presidents domestic agenda, basically being an administration cheerleader, while he is busy fixing the absolutely flipping mess he was left to deal with on some other very serious fronts. I don’t know if it’s her fault she’s not doing a good job there or not. Regardless I think he wins if he runs with her again. Unless he puts her on the Supreme Court and runs with Pete. I’d take that. |
