I get that most people dislike her because she is a lucky opportunist but that shouldn't be grounds for hatred. |
I guess most of us would've jumped at a Netflix deal. |
I don't hate Meghan and most of the negative commenters about the show don't seem like "haters." I am definitely NOT MAGA or racist just because I am not a fan. That explanation for anyone who dislikes her or her products/content gets tiresome. |
Also Mindy really doesn't give af. For her it's not that deep. |
Watched the next couple of episodes which were ok, but the food looked really really boring and bland. So much so they had to bring out the hot sauce! And what’s up with the flower sprinkles? They are just… flower petals right? Don’t they make things taste a little off? I did like this quote from her when she makes a delicious-looking breakfast sandwich for her director - “the only thing better than eating food is making it for someone and watching them eat it with delight” |
I think a lot of people are just sick of her playing the victim card. She left the UK 4 years ago and she is STILL talking about it, including multiple references in and about this show. Most of us would run the other way if we saw her heading in our direction at a cocktail party. If she would just shut up about it, most people would forget and give her content a fair shake. She is her own worst enemy. |
With Love, Meghan was not believable in the slightest. The fact that Meghan did not even do this at her own property undermined the whole premise for the show, in my opinion.
The way she cooked and held a knife showed how inexperienced she was in a kitchen. She also looked fairly inexperienced at beekeeping too, I thought. Besides all that though, the whole show and script was incredibly boring and Meghan was not relatable as a host. I have secondhand embarrassment, tbh… 1/10 |
People don’t dislike her because she’s an opportunist. They dislike her because she is disingenuous. It’s plain and simple. People see through her. The constancy whining and holier than thou preachiness doesn’t help either. |
The reviews and online criticism this week have been absolutely brutal. Not sure I have ever seen anything like it especially for something so generally harmless, if inauthentic and cringey. If I were her I would be close to suicidal. I wonder if people would have the same reaction to her and Harry if they had not gone after the Royal Family and not played victim for a few years. It is astonishing really. Although I think a lot of the criticism is driven by an obsession with them from right, which takes the valid criticism to an extreme. Sort of like the situations with Blake Lively and Amber Heard. |
She lived there for two years and her husband is from there. Of course she talks about it. |
Not if you complain about it the whole time you were there. She got out - that's what she said she wanted and she is still not happy. That's why people can't deal with her. |
Exactly. She wants everyone to move on but she herself hasn't moved on. She needs to let all that drama go if she wants to be known for something else (like her lifestyle show). |
That's not what she is talking about and you know it. We are talking about her constantly reliving the drama (ie introducing a guest on her show by saying "he was here for the before, the during, and the after."). How does that help her rehab her image? It's like she is trying to stir up controversy. |
Pippa Middleton was roundly mocked when she published her lifestyle book "Celebrate" over 10 years ago. There was even a parody twitter account with the handle "Pippatips" that tweeted blindingly obvious hosting advice. Pippa took it in stride and moved on. Meghan keeps coming back for more but she never changes her tune. That's the problem. |
Oh. I had no idea about any of that. Maybe because she is British. |
