I agree that Harry has turned his back on his heritage, his duty, and therefore his family of origin. There are definitely uniquely difficult things about being royal, but everyone has their baggage, and he really isn't that special, and neither is his wife. Harry and Meghan want all of the money and public recognition but none of the duty. They are living in a 14 million dollar mansion in Montecito and they have at least one other multimillion propery in Portugal. Her clothing and jewelry budget is notable even for a wealthy person. I think it would be believable that they wanted privacy and normalcy even if they chose say one 4 million dollar home and less conspicuous clothing/jewerly/accessories. But as it is, they are living way beyond their supposed net worth of 60 million and that itself is a sickness. Charles probably thinks they are after his money. I don't think he would be wrong. They have set themselves up in a lifestyle they can't afford and they have aired all their dirty laundry in books and television. What is Charles really supposed to do with all of that?

I really don't get it. M and H ahve already proven, over and over, that they will throw Charles, William et al under the bus FOR MONEY. Harry's recent interview shows that thing have not changed ONE BIT. I am actually a little surprised.

I absolutely agree that this life was never going to work for M and this is ok. I wouldn't like it either. Putting aside that she knew this going in, it is really about how they handled it. Not that they left. They chose to sell out their family. Repeatedly. No reason these "issues" (if even true) had to be aired publicly. None. And oh Look, another recent "scandal" so M and H can keep things alive, get attention, and make money.

I don’t have any inherent stance on her other than she is a lying liar but who cares about that - she is just so lacking in self awareness!!! Is she not very bright? I don’t believe for a second Meghan wanted to work. She wanted money earned via affiliate linking as a royal - zero effort kaching. That’s it. Plus the non-boring ribbon cuttings eg going to the BAFTAs instead of Catherine, helping form the government instead of the monarch.

There is ZERO EVIDENCE THAT THEY HATE MONARCHY. They hate -their place- in it. My DH is 100% Irish by descent and -we- detest monarchies. Know how I can prove it? We married our commoner better halves and didn’t have Chuckie Three Sticks walk me down the aisle as QE2 watched.

They have publicly called Charles and William and Kate racists and all kinds of insults and caused a million different public dramas. You don’t understand why he would want to avoid that? Really? Why are we assuming that Charles is refusing calls and visits? I think history shows that they tend to lie about these things to look innocent. It’s likely that the reverse is true. Meghan does not want Charles to speak to harry or kids because she wants complete control. So she has to invent this falsehood of Charles not accepting calls or visits

My guess- Charles/Royal Family say, can and would talk so long as don’t tape, record, take photos or disclose anything to public/press or write a book on it. MM and H find that controlling and unfair - that all those conditions is clearly same as being told daddy don’t talk to me and so MM/H tell the world they want to and do reach out but no one will talk to them.

Celebrity chef Jameson Stocks. He has cooked for king and was asked to be part of MM cooking show but he declined. He got letter from Netflix legal, but Netflix says they didn’t send it so who knows his did, but has prompted him being interviewed by multiple news outlets and quotes like this: “He urged Markle to return to her former profession, stating: “I think she should just go back to acting. She’s quite a good actress in real life, or obviously on screen. I think people should just stick to what they do best.” yikes!

I agree that there is no evidence that Meghan wanted to leave - she was mega-pissed that she wasn’t placed at or above Catherine’s level. Same for Harry and William. That doesn’t work in primogeniture by definition, and it’s a pity Harry, Meghan, and you are too stupid to understand that other people understand what’s motivated Harry and Meghan’s 5 years and counting sh!tfit.

Both will not reconcile with their fathers, each of whom has had a serious illness. They are Regan and Goneril with struggle hairlines and no ability to read and understand the play.
