If Trump is elected, who is going to work for him? There are few if any competent people willing to work for this clown. I shudder to think at what will happen to the U.S. if he gets re-elected.

I am sick to my stomach thinking that there are so many of you out there.

Full disclosure, I’m Jewish. The Jewish community does not wish harm on the Palestinian people. They need to eradicate Hamas. Please tell me all of you armchair military experts, how would you handle this attack? Israel suffered the worst attack on its people since the Holocaust annd anll of you expect them to just take it without responding. Israel is attacked and it is their own fault. Israel would love to live in peace. If Hamas would lay down their arms, there would be peace. If Israel laid down their arms, there would be no more Israel.

It’s arguments in bad faith like this which make it impossible to be lectured about how we have to save the country from Trump.

Criticism of how Israel responds, criticism of what behavior the U.S. endorses, is not the same as expecting “no response”. I have seen arguments for allowing civilians to evacuate, more precision targeting of Hamas, never one argument for Israel to do nothing. Those arguments also come from the rest of the world by the way.

There are more than 3000 dead Palestinian children. Children— not Hamas. Not terrorists. And questioning U.S. leadership right now and demanding higher standards is what makes you sick? Trump is the President you deserve.

Speaking of bad faith, hamas routinely lies about the numbers of dead Palestinians. So we cannot have any confidence in the number of supposed dead children.

Funny you should say this. WaPo debunked it this morning.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/11/01/bidens-dismissal-reported-palestinian-death-toll/

We sadly have quite a lot of confidence in the number of dead children. It is OK to expect better than this. We must expect better than this.

Yom Kippur War 2,656 Jews killed and 7,251 injured. Oct 7 1,400 killed about 3,000 injured. So no not the most Jews killed since the Holocaust. You think Jewish people would know this?

They remember NOTHING, apparently.

Nothing about how he incited 1/6.

Nothing about how he leaked highly classified info to the Russians on TV.

Nothing about he put his stupid son in law in charge of the Middle East.

Nothing about how he’s currently spending most of his time shuttling around state and federal courthouses because he’s being charged with a million felonies.

Disagree with Biden on Israel? Fine.

But the choices we have are the choices we have. And to think Biden is worse than Trump is absolutely insane.

A few soccer moms taking selfies was hardly an insurrection, no matter how hard you try to spin it.

Russian collusion? Really? That was so dead by mid-2020 it wasn’t even mentioned at the Democrat convention.

Funny, that idiot son-in-law seemed to have kept the peace in the Middle East.

Now you’ve invented a bunch of laws he supposedly broke.

Your attempts to distort the facts are pathetic.

To everyone who insists the very possibility of Trump’s return means all thoughtful people must support Biden! I don’t necessarily think Trump would do better, but I doubt he would be all that much worse. What would be a little better is the rhetoric of the blue no matter who crowd, they’d then at least hint at pushing back against the powerful. But with a Democrat in the White House, the blue-no-matter-who-crowd give the powerful have blank check, including doing Trump-like things including building a wall, detaining kids, and arming the Israeli right for an all-out MENA war!

The Democrats are Ho-hum in opposition, but an absolute horror show in power.

I have one criterion for a President: they must leave if/when they lose an election.

Everything after that is gravy.

Swing-state Muslim Americans threaten to vote against Biden
Muslim Americans voted overwhelmingly for Biden. But community leaders in swing states tell NBC News that the president's handling of the war in Gaza risks losing their support. As Israel’s U.S-backed war against Hamas intensifies and Palestinian civilian deaths mount, a growing number of swing-state Muslim American and Arab American leaders are warning President Joe Biden that he is losing support from their communities in ways that could cost him in next year’s election.

Muslim Americans overwhelmingly backed Biden in 2020 and would be expected to again in 2024, especially if his opponent is former President Donald Trump, who has revived his plans to ban many Muslims from entering the United States.
But in multiple battleground states that Biden won with thin margins last time, a growing chorus of community leaders say his handling of the war in Gaza and Islamophobia at home jeopardize his path to victory in the Electoral College, with many Muslim American and Arab American voters saying they plan to either stay home next November, vote for a write-in or a third-party presidential candidate, or simply leave the top of the ticket blank.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/swing-state-muslim-voters-threaten-vote-against-biden-rcna122870

The poll is the latest evidence that Biden's campaign for a second term in office is rapidly losing Muslim and Arab Americans support over his staunch support of Israel. These voters have traditionally voted for Democratic candidates and are prominent in hotly contested states like Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania, that could decide the 2024 presidential election.

Looks like trump will win. Good job Joe! This does not even count the progressives and under 40 voters who are pissed off. Maybe Joe will resign or not run? Can only hope.

Most of us want Biden to resign so that a candidate with more guaranteed odds of beating Trump can come forward. This isn't because most of us are pissed off at Biden or because most of us think he has done a terrible job. Okay sure. What do you say about the pro Israelis and Jews? Do they care more about Israel vs their supposedly adopted country?

I can’t recall ever reading a post before that such incredible inadvertent two-way applicability.

This one should be in the DCUM Hall of Fame.

Biden has done nothing even as VP for a Two State Solution. Now he is throwing it out there like trump throwing paper towels to hurricane victims.

The Two State Solution is dead and has been for 20 years.

When you refer to the US as the adopted country for anyone who is Jewish, you have lost the rhetoric game, completely. It is really one of the most contemptable statements you can make about a group of US citizens and taxpayers who have been in the US for generations and have zero allegiance or affinity to Israel whatsoever.

North Gaza is uninhabitable now that it have been reduced to rumble. Trump could tell Bibi to nuke the area but Bibi would not. It is too close to Israel and would produce too much fall out for Israel. That is the only reason Bibi has not done it. Biden would not stop Bibi from nuking the Palestinians. Biden said he was a Zionist. He puts Israel first.

I have to assume "bring out the nukes" is similar to the "ongoing genocide". Meaning, it's just hyperbolic language not meant to be taken literally. Or the people saying these things weren't educated past 4th grade, or their brains have been methed to mush, because it's completely nonsensical.

No, it’s quite literally what Trump frequently wanted to do. He wanted to nuke a hurricane. I forget which countries he wanted to obliterate. The man is not sane.

How kind of you to take your crappy sense of recollection and say that those of us who do remember have “methed” our brains to mush.
