Jon and Kate - getting divorced

| Wow, I thought their announcement would be separation and counseling....but they are getting divorced. This is a horrible thing to have filmed for thier kids to have on DVD for all time. I wonder how the show will play out. I am curious about it, but I know I shouldn't be. I hate myself for watching. |

Awful. I used to not like Kate because she is so brutal but I really feel bad for her. It's obvious that Jon is a child and just wants to play and it was sad to see her so vulnerable. He looked like an ass with his two earings and Ed Hardy get up. Also talking about how he is just 32 was pathetic-he has 8 kids and they are the priority. I agee with her that they would have had problems without the show because he is just so passive..not sexy..but they may have been forced to stay together because of lack of money. I don't know.I feel so bad for those kids and for her.

| Completely agree with the PP. I am no Kate fan, but seriously - John is SUCH A LOSER!!!! I mean, get over yourself already. I can't believe that they are continuing on with the show. |

I have to agree as well. Kate is obviously difficult. Well, that is my opinion. But, frankly, don't you kind of have to be type A, demanding, particular . . . with that many kids???
He just seems like an immature ass. This show only confirms it for me. |

| I now sort of get her. She had to be aggressive to put "dinner on the table" and the show was a great answer to their financial issues esp. since he can't keep a job and agree that with that many kids, you have to be on a total schedule. He is just so loser like it's really sad--I at first didn't believe all the young girl stories but now think he is in the midst of some kind of narcissist crisis. It's all just so awful to watch-in fact, I think I am done. |

the show should be kate + 9 since jon is just the more immature of all the kids.
she's not a saint but she's the one who wears the pants in that house. |

| Weird. I only saw part of it, but had the same reaction. Jon is such a loser. And I had great sympathy for Kate. Makes you wonder if one of the reasons she harps on him was because he didn't do anything unless she was yelling at him. |

I had a totally different reaction. I thought Kate looked so fake and thought she was playing to the cameras as usual. Jon looked so uncomfortable and it would not suprise me one bit if he pulled himself from the show.
And the job thing, PLEASE, they are making 70k an episode, that is is job. Who would work as an IT guy when you were bringing in that kind of dough? I still can't stand Kate. She whores out her kids. |

Kate was a bitch and a fame whore and if she really cared about her kids would have stepped back from the show long ago. What mother thinks its a good idea to film the ending of their marriage on national tv to be preserved forever so the kids can watch as well as everyone else? If she didn't want to parent alone, she should have thought about that before she decided to play the role of controlling wife. Jon was always along for the ride on that show and probably hoped it would end relatively quickly. I doubt he is going to go on and try and use his 15 minutes of fame (he mentioned he was hoping to get a job offer - and I think he meant like the 9 to 5 office type of job) unlike Kate who will milk her fame and her poor kids for as long as possible |

I agree. kate can certainly by bitchy, but imagine having to run that household - i find myself snapping at my husband and I only have two!
John is a total loser. Kate has found success and he can't handle that. He looks like a total fool with his spiky hair and earrings trying to be young. I totally felt for her - walking on eggshells when she knew she was right about where to put the houses, and not being able to speak up for fear of WWIII. |

| OK, they BOTH should have thought about this before they popped out EIGHT kids. Sorry, I have no sympathy for either of them. But, for the record I didn't see the announcement because I honestly cannot stand either of them. It really was their choice to have 8 kids. I think they are both hideous people and I feel horrible for these poor kids. |

She has found SUCCESS? What success? She is a reality tv "star" and until recently went around to rural churches asking for "love offerings" until she moved into her big huge house and could no longer cry poor mouth to ignorant country folk. Please explain to me how kate is a success? She is the mother to 8 children in the middle of a divorce on national TV and is tabloid fodder, please explain to my how that is successful. If she did not have her TV show, she would be nothing more than another single mom our society would have to support. |
