Nominating Kaine as VP is not just good politics. If the ticket is elected and something happened to Hillary, the presidency would be in good hands with Kaine. Whether you agree with him on specific issues or not, he's steady and has the temperament and experience to step in.

I was blown away by that speech. Kaine is amazing. He has an incredible background, but he comes across as an average guy. Kaine is the humanizing factor that Hillary needs.

Kaine's speech was outstanding. I was in the "meh, hold your nose" camp concerning voting for Hillary Clinton. But Kaine is a solid guy. My enthusiasm definitely jumped several points.

His speech was outstanding. I needed something uplifting and encouraging to wash off all of the fear, doom and gloom we got from the RNC last week.

Picking Kaine is the best decision Hillary has made in her political life.

I thought Kaine was a safe, but steady choice and I agree- his speech today was outstanding. I can see why she picked him, they look like a prepared, presidential team in comparison to the Trump clown car contingent.

I think he was pretty loyal to Obama and Clinton, and could see that this was Clinton's year. And he just wasn't well known outside of VA, that will obviously change with this election. If that speech is a taste of what we see at the convention, I think he will knock it out of the park.
