Are you daft? Why do you keep acting like these are isolated incidents, after repeatedly showing you multiple examples? The whole "acting innocently dumb" act is really not a good look for a middle-aged pearl-clutching Karen.

Every woman who marries into the BRF has been savaged by the press at some point, or many points in certain cases. It comes with the job. But Meghan somehow thought she was different?

She’s the only one whose kid has been compared to a monkey by anyone. All of the blood royals are busted yet I can’t remember any of them being insulted literally after they left the womb.

Wow, WHO exactly compared Meghan Markle to a monkey???

Citation please. And it better be an official citation.

Oh, and I just googled. Some third-tier RADIO commentator's TWITTER remark means nothing.

Meghan Markle is beautiful but she's a sociopath, and her race has nothing to do with anything. What matters is that we know she lied about getting married before her official wedding, and we know that there was no way that Archie could have had the title she wanted.

The rest? Well, she should prove it. Because everything else is a lie.

You’re an idiot. Have you read the last few posts, with the monkey pictures?..The comparison was to Archie. You know, Meghan’s baby.

In many ways, the publicly available info of Meghan and Harry reminds me of my SIL and her dynamic with my brother. She had a traumatic childhood and that trauma became the center of her being. Everything revolves around her, her needs, and my brother’s desire to protect her to the point of other people detriment. All of this isn’t in her, my brother feeds of this dynamic, but early in their relationship this was used to cut him off from family and establish him as HERS. This was a man who loved getting together with family weekly who abruptly stopped because he thought he was protecting and supporting his wife. I’m pet sure they both thought they were doing the healthy thing for her but centering your whole identity in your trauma isn’t healthy. Especially when that means causes you to feel like your trauma always has to be worse than everyone else’s. For my SIL, this led to screaming at another brother because she was “triggered” by something that was actually her own mistake, for Meghan this seems to be the ‘the press was so horrible to me but everyone else’s treatment was just rude’ narrative she gave to Oprah. (I for one consider someone taking, selling, and publishing topless photos from super telephoto distance while on a private holiday well beyond just rude.)

I see in Harry a man deeply traumatized by his mother’s death In Meghan, a women traumatized by her experience and pregnancy hormones (pregnancy can be so hard and the hormonal changes it can cause are no joke). They didn’t really have enough time to establish themselves as a couple in the BRF and find their footing before the pregnancy and her suicidal ideation crisis. It seems like everything snowballed and got away from them and they are now foundering whilst sort out what it all means.

I love how the haters are just conveniently ignoring this very compelling evidence of just how much bias goes into the British reportage of Meghan. This "journalist" couldn't be more transparent, and her smugness reeks. Gives a bad name to actual journalists anywhere.

^Exactly. And Kate Middleton had guest edited Huffington Post a few years before this.

The vindictive nature of the reporters revealed here is incredibly telling, but of course people will find some excuse to justify this, too.

Omg Waity Katey is so white-bread and bland I can’t stand it

Does that mean that you deserve to live a miserable life because countless others who came before you undoubtedly lived miserable lives as well?

At least it's equal treatment.

Anonymous wrote:I think many of you are confusing self-respect, self-confidence and a sense of self worth with narcissism. Contrary to what some of you seem to believe, you DON'T have to grin and bear being treated poorly. By the press? Sure. By the family? Hell no. No way. Not in MY family, let alone my in-laws. Many of you are ignoring the elephant in the room.

This isn't just about the press being meanies. Get real, please.

Exactly this.

Is it though? Moving to another continent and then trashing the family on Oprah doesn't exactly make them look like victims of the family. It makes them look the opposite.

Harry felt let down by Charles? Because Charles didn't support him leaving, "abdicating". Because when Harry told Charles that Meghan was reliving Diana's path to death? Because Charles wasn't sympathetic to that. That's not victim hood.

Meghan suffered from culture shock, including the culture of dealing with staff. And, like a teenager, she decided to run away. Okay. It was a hard situation. And duty was no reason for her to stay and work it out. So running away made sense to her. And it's not victim hood either.

But why should everyone support her in that?

No one was "trashing the family," stop being dramatic.

DP. Please. If I suggested on a major public platform that at least one member of your immediate family was a racist, you’d crap your pants. Don’t pretend that’s a nice or even neutral thing to say about your own family.

It is absolutely wild to me how people still can't seem to wrap their head around this:

Being racist or mistreating someone is A-Okay, but speaking out against said racism or mistreatment is some terrible sin? Your pearl-clutching Karens really have a twisted sense of logic that only fits your narrow, sheltered worldviews.

Where’s the evidence of racism? I don’t find H&M credible, so I’m not just gonna take their word for it.

Well, there’s the horrible stuff in the tabloids that many think she should have been prepared for and fail to see as racist. There was that lovely blackamoor brooch that many of you think is just jewelry. That alone would have been more than enough — particularly since there’s no indication that anyone in the family did or said anything about it. There’s also the very real possibility that many things have been said and done that none of us are privy to.
Curious though: What would you view as credible evidence of racism?

Oh, no, you see, these people don't think anything that doesn't involves the N word or outright physical violence could be racist. And even then, I mean, think of the poor souls who are racist! Will no one think of them?!

So a racist aunt is enough for you to make your DH quit his job, abandon his duty, and leave the country?

That doesn't make sense.

Why are you acting like that single incident was what set them off? It was one of many examples. Come on, it's not that difficult, unless you've lived an extremely sheltered existence and need everything spelled out for you.

For the record, I'm not a Meghan Stan or whatever the hell they call themselves. I just think the Meghan haters are a really odd looking bunch, with seemingly zero self-awareness.

Because racism is not why they left. It's only being used to attack the BRF by H&M.

Right, the aunt wears the black moor jewelry, there’s “concern” over the baby’s skin color and the BBC compares Archie to a monkey. The BBC is the equivalent of the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal in terms of prestige. But, sure no racism at all. Nothing to see here.

One reporter at the BBC made this remark and he was promptly fired. But do carry on with your outrage.

He is still getting paid to spew his putrid thoughts. He is with a podcast that people pay a subscription fee.

And my God, just cause he got fired doesn’t make it go away. You can’t unsee it, doesn’t make it hurt less. It out there forever. Are you saying because he got fired it’s less outrageous? That she should just get over it? It’s outrageous that you would even say such a thing.

DP. No, it means his remark wasn't acceptable, wasn't appropriate or socially acceptable. That's what getting fired means.

And then he got another job in the media where it was acceptable to his audience. It's like when Sean Spicer was unacceptable, but he still found employment elsewhere where his lies are acceptable.

Exactly- it’s not ok to have these nasty articles but going on Oprah saying your sister in laws nasty articles were just “rude” but yours were soooo hurtful is disingenuous and uncaring at best and manipulative at best.

Your “examples” are just that she somehow received worse press than other royals. Which is patently false. There was one nasty article and a couple of questionable articles by the press. You seem to not be grasping that we know about the examples, but can still believe that MM is a liar and a drama queen. Also - calling people names is “not a good look”

Forgot to add- you probably don’t remember this since you seem young and a new royal watcher, but Camilla was crucified in the press for years in the most unfair, nasty way. So no, I don’t see meghans treatment by the press any worse than others. That said, bad nasty press is not a good thing. The difference is that Camilla and the rest handled it with grace and dignity and Meghan handled it by going nuclear on Oprah.

Don’t forget about how cruel that press was to Fergie, “ Duchess of Pork.” MM wasn’t treated any worse than the other newcomers. The difference is those with BPD, which I suspect she has, absolutely cannot handle any criticism.

You really need to stop acting as an armchair psychiatrist. It's terrible. You have zero ground to stand on when dishing out fake diagnoses.

Hypocrisy at its finest. But of course the Royal Family sycophants will find some way to either completely ignore this because it doesn't fit into their narrow worldview.

Yup. The offensive, racist comment by the BBC commentator was horrible and he faced consequences. Sooooo...is Kate Middleton supposed to have beheaded him or something? WTAF.
