The only reason I posted was because another posted made it sound like it would be odd to post anything more heartfelt on a business (I think she meant foundation) site. Let’s face it: H*M are emotionally stunted navel-gazers who only care about themselves. |
H and M are a pair of twats.
That said, I don’t really care what their made up foundation -that does practically nothing except have an internet presence- says about a man that dedicated his entire life to his country, without whining, without the pity party, always a step behind and in a supporting role. He was a decorated war hero, made some gaffes, had a large family and lived a long life. He’s far more interesting than one of his grand kids and his c list drama queen wife. |
I was thinking about how H&M feel entitled to a global platform to support their lavish lifestyle and how ridiculous that is given that neither one has done anything to earn it.
By contrast, look at what former President Carter and his wife contributed to our nation and the global community through hard work and public service followed by decades of continued public service while living a quiet life far from the limelight yet still making a tangible impact. They weren’t driven by money or celebrity; they earned a platform, and strategically used it in a far less obvious yet impactful way. Apples and watermelons. Some people are thoroughly decent and make a difference. Others, not so much. |
It is Interesting that the M & H fans are now trying to distance them from the Foundation. The web page for their foundation has been the vehicle for their personal announcements, including the quite lengthy, and sometimes quite snippy and notably unprofessional ones, justifying their exit from Royal duties. This is not some third-party organization. |
Doubt that. Guarantee if she weren’t invited she would’ve leaked that info. Even if the BRF hates her even they aren’t that stupid. Also QEII seems fine with them. |
Yeah, Harry can save the really heartfelt comments for when he actually sees or talks to his family. For the Clintons and Obamas, these public statements are the totality of their condolences. You people are either dim or just lame trolls. |
+1. Seriously these people need to get a LIFE. |
Harry has talked a lot about how having his grief on public display was harmful to him (after his mom's death). Shouldn't really surprise anyone that he's being terse in his public statements at the moment.
|
I get that he is not obligated to expose him true feelings at this moment and respect his right to privacy. And I should preface by saying I don’t strongly dislike or like Harry and Megan. But this comment from Archewell felt extra cold to me and frankly weird. I think it was a major misstep and kind of disrespectful to his grandfather. |
DP. Yeah. The elipses seemed juvenile and the reiteration of the word “service” was pretty weird and borderline disrespectful. |
God, you people are the absolute worst. Nitpicking over ellipses? Get over yourselves, my goodness. |
After their very public disagreement about what the word service means just a few short weeks ago, the "Thank you for your service" is just a stab in the heart. Very cruel IMO. Typical Meghan and childish at best. |
How do you know for certain the evil mastermind Meghan was behind the wording for this? /s |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow. For shame. |
I’m a Meghan fan and loved the interview (and anything else that brings down the racist and vile BRF) but this statement was... odd. The ellipses, the “thanking” (which someone else pointed out is not their place to do). If they could have at least added a rote sentence about him being a loving father, grandfather, blah blah blah it would have softened up the statement and made it more palatable. |
