Child killed by Neighborhood Watch captain while walking home

Of course that doesn't justify Zimmerman's actions, but doesn't that play into the self defense angle or at least show that T wasn't running away all the time?[/quote

I think it depends on where and when. If I were standing in my front yard, staring at you, as you walked down the street "toward" me, but then YOU KEPT WALKING PAST ME and I got in my car and followed you as you kept on your way - AWAY from me, then no, that does not help the self defense angle.

TM was trying to quickly get away, get home to safety, at the time of the Z initiated confrontation.

Right?

I can't believe what I just read. From what you are saying it follows that a straight A student with perfect behavior, high SES family, wearing a hoodie while black walking though a nice neighborhood, can reasonably be assumed to be up to no good and shot to death. I just wish that people who think like this can be more easily identified as i would not want to have any kind of friendship with such people.

My 10 year old daughter said to me "is it okay for someone to shoot a kid and say he felt threatened by the kid because he was black and wearing a hoodie? Does hat mean that black kids cannot wear hoodies? Even I know that is wrong and if the police did not arrest the man or investigate then they didn't do their job"
From the mouth of babes.

Is that what you taught your child to ask? Or if his twitter name should be "no limit n****"?Is your child also asking you if it's ok to get suspended from school for possession of stolen jewelry?

Don't be so sensational. Just teach your kids to be good people

Yeah, I wish I could. Except that my black son, who walks to the store to buy candy and Arizona iced tea all the time, has been suspended too. I cannot imagine him getting killed by a nut and people offering this information. So what? He's been suspended. He also makes straight As and has an extremely high IQ. Unfortunately, he is a kid. A sweet, but sometimes dumb kid. BTW, they never proved that the jewelry was stolen.

I was suspended three times in school, smoked weed and still do. God help me if I'm killed by some vigilante in the near future!!

Large cut on back of Zimmerman's head consistent with side walk bashing

In my view this really makes no difference. My question is-- who initiated the confrontation? If it was Zimmerman, wasn't Trayvon Martin allowed to "stand his ground" and fight back?

Why is the cut at the top/crown of his head and not the back. It seems like it is in a funny spot if he was on his back in the grass. It had to be superficial if the paramedics treated all the injuries in such little time.

I noticed the word "large" was not used.

It's on the top of his head. So Trayvon held him by the feet and smashed the top of his head into the sidewalk?

Even if Zimmerman did sustain an injury, it wouldn't be automatic evidence that Trayvon was the aggressor. After all, Trayvon sustain a fatal injury and that doesn't seem to be automatic evidence that Zimmerman was the aggressor...

The most important thing in the story linked above is that forensic experts concluded that it was not Zimmerman crying out for help on the 911 tape. I don't see how anyone could listen to that tape knowing it was Trayvon Martin crying out "help" and "no" and believe there is any case for self-defense. The boy was begging for his life in the final moment.

The forsensic tapes are compete junk science. Would you convict someone based on 51% probability. Cases have gotten throen out for much less. The only evidence is the police report, eye witnesses , video with gash in back of the head and the doctor and paramedics reports. They all exonerate Zimmerman. Mean while thrre have been like 40 other deaths with no coverage

Yes, because Trayvon is a cartoon and decided to resort to Three Stooges antics with someone twice his width. Are you people that f*ing ridiculous? Or that f*ing prejudiced against AAs?
