One cake versus women organizing the distribution of 60,000 meals. I know who I admire here

Very on brand for Kate. Minimal effort, mom core. The old biddies go wild. This woman took ten years to come up with a five question survey so baking a cake is actually pretty good for her.

I think both of yall are weird as fuucck. The Duchess Meghan baked the cake and sent it to one of the charities she support, world kitchen. Did yall even bother to open and read. The lemons actually came from the lemon trees in Meghan's backyard. Meghan helped these women to organize the distribution of meals. Kate didn't bake crap. Nor did Kate help women organize to help others.

Either way, it’s hysterical that anyone cares. Like seriously, a chick baked a cake. I’m rolling my eyes at the lemon tree part.

+1
Did Meghan invent lemons, LOL?

Those lemons sparked donations to a charity she supports. It is my understanding that the charities the other members of the BRF have received very few donations and at least one has gone under. Ah, the power of lemons.

What a goldmine for the charity. Next Meghan can roast a cauliflower from her garden, send them a crock of sauerkraut, a 3-bean salad.......I’m surprised they didn’t mention fresh eggs or us that next? 😂

I'm a liberal black woman and I do like her. Your point? We're not a monolith.

That blind item was funny. The better example would be wanting to be Hunter Biden, not Elon Musk.

That was funny. Does Harry realize what a joke he’s become or is he delusional? Does he actually want to debase himself this way or is MM pushing him to do so? It all seems so spectacularly humiliating.

Why is getting a job debasing or humiliating? The blind item is like, salaciously written but is 90% opinion commentary and pictures of Elon Musk. The only real concrete thing there is that Harry shopped around a bit, and that some companies weren't interested in him. That happens to almost everyone.

It’s debasing because he’s going out with his hand out looking for free money while provide absolutely no relevant skills, experience or value other than his name and title. Perhaps you would be comfortable with that behavior but I can assure you that most professionals would not.

Pur-leze. That's what the one-percenters in the US do all the time. You really think the Koch sons have skills to run a fashion house. Or Meghan McCain is smart enough to do what she does? How about Don Jr. It is the way of the world for the uber rich.

DP. I agree that’s how the world works for the uber rich. Some of us just find it distasteful. If I were super rich, I would still want my kids to become educated and develop skills and try to stand on their own two feet in the world. Some people really do think it’s better not to coast on accidents of fate like who your dad is or how much money he has.

1) Do you feel similarly about the rest of the BRF?

2) Do you not believe that 10 years of service in the military counts as a 'job' or as 'experience'? And does your answer to this question also apply to American veterans?

3) Do you not believe that the last few decades of patronages and fundraising has given him no experience in the role of 'professional fundraiser and bring-awareness-er' which seem like specifically valuable skills for this kind of role?

4) How could Harry have navigated the accident of his birth differently in a way where you would now think of him as a competent person deserving of a salary for work?

1) I’m not really a fan of any of the BRF. But at least they are doing their royal duties in exchange for their advantages. Harry just wanted all the advantages without having any obligations. When he couldn’t get that, he ran to Oprah and trashed his family as racists on international television.

2) I don’t believe Harry’s military experience as a royal prince is in any way comparable to what American veterans have experienced. But it was at least probably a real job. I don’t consider giving a speech for $500k or whatever a real job.

3) Harry isn’t actually planning and executing the Invictus Games himself. He shows up and shakes hands and allows people to bask in his reflected glory. There are teams of professionals doing the real work with his patronages and such.

4) He could put the effort in to educate himself and develop skills in his chosen field. If his passion really is TV production and podcasting, what has he done in his past to develop skills for jobs in those industries? Honestly, until he left the BRF, I don’t think he showed any interest in those fields.

Hi! I’m a PP whose military husband works with marines who were in Afghanistan with Harry. What he did was super technical and high skilled and also really dangerous, which made me wonder how on earth The BRF approved it. What Harry did was fly Apache helicopters basically between ridges in the mountains, sometimes as little as only a few feet off the ground, sometimes setting down long enough to land and take on wounded, all under heavy fire at times. It is a super skilled job that not many people qualify for and many many people fail out of. You need amazing technical skills and presence of mind. These pilots train for over three years and have to take like a five hour exam to pass. Everyone we mutually know speaks very highly of his skills and his overall personality.

You might not like him but please don’t ignore facts.

Maybe he could have found a job that built off of all those supposed skills he developed. Or are the Apache helicopter pilots highly trained in podcasting and TV production?

Something I’m realizing about the British - unless the women are quiet, meek and self-effacing they have no respect for them. Which is ironic considering Britain had one of the world’s first female Prime Ministers
