Why would Sasha Obama attend University of Michigan?

My DC chose Michigan over Berkeley and UCLA. Just felt like a better fit. She says it’s the best decision she’s ever made.

Pomona is a very good school, but I think it’s location isn’t very good. Warm weather can’t make up for a boring neighborhood. Furthermore, you absolutely need to have a car there.

Well, almost everything as none attends schools like MIT, CalTech, Hopkins nor goes into comp sci, engineering, applied maths, neuroscience, architecture, , orthopedics, astronautics etc. where you actually have to be competent to survive.

STEM fields aren’t the preferred path for kids of rich and powerful, they take scenic routes. They don’t need to earn a living or prove themselves. They already made it with genetic lottery.

This^. It would’ve been scandalous to attend USC due to negative publicity that year or may be went because high school friends or boyfriend were going to Michigan.

No you don't, there's a train station to Los Angeles with a regular schedule. I know as we stayed at the Casa 425 Hotel and used it to travel to Downtown LA. And the city of Claremont is absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite college towns I have been to.
