I'm at a point in my life where I can tell who marries for love and who marries strictly for material security . In this case, it's glaringly obvious they seemed mismatched . To say nothing of the fact that Mr plastic surgeon oozes gay vibes from a mile away .

She seemed terminally bored and prone to stirring drama. Lee seemed super into that. Extended his trip to indulge it.

Agree that Nima and especially sister seemed like ppl with way too much free time. Idle hands and all that. No kids and no job plus the financial cushion of the plastic surgeon -- feels a bit like Anna Delvey in social climbing.

Nima may also be shady about his age. If he left after the Iranian revolution, in the mid-70s, seems he must be older than 38? That detail is in link above.

Getting older while the money ran out and opportunities failed to materialize may have added to his stress level.

The "confirmed bachelor" thing, hmmm. Maybe he was in the closet like the doctor could be? Forbes notes where he lived while in HS, still no confirmation as to where he or his sister actually attended college. Everything seems to be smoke and mirrors.

Why was the surgeon so agitated ? I almost want to ask if he has Parkinsons or is he under the influence of some narcotics ?

I imagine that he fears that the life he has worked hard to build is imploding due to his BIL. Top marks all the way through school, now all those curated images revealed as false. Seems a bit stressful no? Also the revelation that your personal life may not be the way you portrayed it in magazines? Status and appearances seem important to him. It is probably also a bit disturbing to know that someone close to you is capable of stabbing someone to death. Bit of an outside the norm experience.

The surgeon likely did not want to be there but was pressured into it.

He comes from a family of doctors, he should have picked a more stable wife with a less grifty family.

His public image of this amazing marriage was shown to be less than true in the court docs, maybe we were watching the war between his humiliation and his narcissism?

well, lemmi see.... he is a wealthy and well respected surgeon from a well respected family of doctors, works in a fancy and well respected practice. suddenly his brother in law is arrested for having murdered a tech founder in a nationwide famous crime, and it also comes out that his beautiful wife was picking up men online and taking them to the marital home (escorted by the brother), likely had affair with murdered guy, family leaving well beyond means with money coming from who-knows-where and so on. fairly sure his career at the fancy PS practice is over and his family, who maybe before likely did not approve of wife but could keep some kind of public good face, must now be livid to be associated with this garbage (+ a murder let's not forget that). the fact that he showed at in court holding garbage wife's hand and even showed the heart sign to the loser+killer BIL suggests that he is an accomplice somehow or that he is a total imbecile and that the wife just fried his brain. anyway, his prior life is gone

+1. Just a very talented guy who is not the most social. Cimes from a family of surgeons. Adores the wife and even posts about her and her beloved dog regularly on his PROFESSIONAL IG.

Now he'd being publicly humiliated. He's acting as anyone else would--totally mortified and wishing it would all go away.

Have seen no pics suggesting the dr showed the heart sign in court. That was K and probably her mom next to her. Mom seemed to wear a wig for the cameras but probably took it off while inside the courtroom.

Yeah, feel almost worse for Dr than Lee — Lee at least kind of knew he was looking for trouble.

I can’t get over how Nima full on stabbed Lee to death. The premeditation to get a knife from kitchen, driving in the dark, chasing him out of the car. This wasn’t like an impulse with a gun, this was sooo personal. I almost can’t believe his sister wasn’t part of the decision. Could it be they were actually involved in something worse, like they offered Lee underage girls or something truly terrible and they were trying to cover it up?
