CYA and SYA merger?

Why is there so much hate with CYA. I didn’t even see SYA on this board until the merger and now we are 36 pages in. This guy Dylan really that toxic? Is he a screamer, scammer, what exactly makes him a bad person?

Not that parents/kids couldn't have a had a bad experience, but he's a perfectly nice person. Willing to bet I've spent more time with him than most on this board decrying him as the devil incarnate.

I’m not affiliated with either club, but rarely do you see someone’s name get drag around as much as his.

It’s one or two people, who also drag their knuckles while they are dragging somebody through the mud. Completely asanine sense of humor, like below Larry the cable guy.

He's not the devil incarnate. And I agree he is a perfectly nice person. The problem is not whether or not he is a nice person. The problem is that he's lazy, disorganized and doesn't know how to coach soccer. He's disorganized even for a coach, let alone a director. He shows up late and stands around chatting when he should be coaching, rarely even watching the kids let alone coaching them. And heaven forbid he can structure a practice to focus on an area for improvement.

Actually I don't think there's all that much hate for Dylan. But he (and Mark Abott) are not really up to the job and are the main reason that CYA is in decline. Therefore they should take the blame for that. He's not a toxic screamer, he doesn't molest children, nor does he steal from parents or screw around with moms. He's just not very good at his job.

Just got an email inviting my kid to come practice with one of the lower teams because he had been identified as a kid with talent. They used a different name in the body of the email. We went to one tryouts and told them we weren't interested. So desperate to fill those $lots.
