I don’t know what you guys are taking about. We do charter flights to NC and SC for ecnl. Who will drive that to watch soccer? That’s crazy. Only $15k per round trip.

Just bumping this up with a warning that Virginia Valour is trying to scrounge up players for a third team in some age groups. An average kid I know from a rec team was just "invited" to join the third team in his age group, LOL. Who pays for the third team of a low level league???

Happened to us too. Keep getting emailed 'offers' even though my kid only attended one tryout.

That’s a legacy CYA thing. There management was known to give out offers to kids didn’t even tryout to fill bottom teams for there bottom line. But I will say 07s have 4 teams right now.

A friend told me their kid was put on one of their teams a few years ago and they ended up not having enough kids for a full team, but of course they didn’t find this out until about August and were left to scramble to find a team.

I have 3 kids that played with SYA and after seeing tryouts, I really saw how bad CYA is. Not sure what they are teaching there. Kids were out of shape, over weight, and no skills.

Well, odds are at least one of their coaches is now one of your kids’ coaches (unless you left).
