Soccer
Sure, but the key point of what you said is: "when Oscar was TD". A good TD draws players to the club. When the asshats are in charge, location doesn't matter. |
| It’s a done deal, only the travel program for soccer will be new. New name and everything, it’s a good move for both clubs. |
The only cya teams that were good were Oscar’s. He was not much of a TD. |
If so, who's in charge? PE or DS? And how long does that relationship last once they see DS running a session? |
SYA will basically absorb CYA and some staff as appropriate. |
Why? |
Because CYA has so little left. |
| CCL or ECNL-R ? |

Sure, but the key point of what you said is: "when Oscar was TD". A good TD draws players to the club. When the asshats are in charge, location doesn't matter. I don't think so -- my kid is a decent player - he's even gotten compliments from opponent team coaches in the travel circuit, but he's not some super star destined for college or the pros... We made the decision to keep him as local as possible for the sake of our family drive time etc. If that means CYA or Herndon or SYA are the closest, so be it. As long as there is nothing bad or damaging going on, location does matter. |
ive heard CCL |
Is that even a question? |
| This isn't happening. Stop. |
It will be officially announced Monday -- Monday evening there is a Zoom meeting with all coaches and team managers. I'll be attending as a TM -- happy to report back with details! Travel Soccer only -- and it will be a separate venture under a new name (So it will NOT be SYA or CYA travel soccer). But yes -- it IS happening. |
Can confirm. Told to be on the lookout for “exciting news” on Monday. |
| Hopefully they come up with a good name like Waples Mill United FC. |
