Are they testing people with mild symptoms or asymptomatic?

If they only test people with severe symptoms the #s will be skewed.

Italy, like South Korea, is doing a lot of testing.

200 cases out of how many tested? They are testing people without symptoms?

Without full details the #s are meaningless.

My theory is, because it’s so contagious, the reported numbers of infected are very low and show only those who are so ill they seek out medical care. I think it’s 200 went to the doctor, 100 hospitalized, but thousands infected with “colds” or totally asymptomatic.

Agree

MI = Michigan? Milan?

Does “watched” mean tested but negative?

Most states have people being monitored.

In Virginia, it's 175: http://www.vdh.virginia.gov/surveillance-and-investigation/novel-coronavirus/
Note: the number actually tested is minuscule: 6.

Why isn’t the USA testing more people? Guys, it has to be circulating now given the international makeup of this country.

Consider how many Chinese students came back to colleges after break. Colleges should be infested with this and they are not.

I don’t think we are getting good information overall, and that most cases ARE mild.

This makes 7 cases imported from Iran since Thursday--Canada and Lebanon each have had a case and the UAE has two.

The coronavirus is now present in 35 countries and territories.

Iraq and Afghanistan also have the first cases, both Iran related.

Number of countries now up to 37.

The Middle East (aside from Israel), Africa and parts of Asia will have large population losses.

If it’s Michigan WTF does that have to do with the prior comments?

And what does “watched” mean? Tested?

In Italy they are I believe screening anyone who lives within 10 certain small towns where the outbreak has been noticed, as well as close contacts of anyone testing positive.

I don't believe they are testing only people with symptoms.

The hospitalizations are probably as a precaution and to get the positive patients out of their living situation so they can reopen the towns in 2 weeks.

Why are those numbers always so even? 1700... 2000...
Why never 1853 or2691..
