I think her face is ugly. |
She is extremely generous in every city she plays - often donating to kitchens that are then able to feed people for a year. I don’t love all of her music and I don’t care about who she is friends with. She has a strong business sense and is a generous human. I like what I know about her!

That’s cute. Shall we go find all these threads where Swifties are free to praise her without the haters popping in? Not one hater. Because they’re so respectful of those other threads. I’ll wait. |
The way you express ideas in this post is a perfect example the mean girl problem of Swifties. You are not just disagreeing, you are being disrespectful. ‘that’s cute.” “I’ll wait.” “Shall we” Are just mean girl tactics meant to put down and gain power by infantilize the person you are arguing with. Why not make your point without using these tactics? Frankly, it brings down the discourse of women to say things like this especially when you claim Taylor is an example to girls and people “need to calm down.” On the internet. |
Some quotes from this thread about Taylor: She’s ugly, her eggs are drying up, looks like a hyena, a symptom of crumbling society, disgusting, puts on a sleazy strip show, trash. Who’s being the mean girls here? I’m happy to hear how those comments contribute to a healthy discourse of women. |
Don’t even pretend you’re not. Anyone that old who bothers to insult strangers in defense of a celebrity is obviously a rabid fan. On top of it all, you’re pretending to be above it all. Again, pathetic. You would think the elderly would have more dignity. |
She is a tremendous business person who is a bright spot among a lot of doom and gloom. I’m fine with it. Better than when I was super into Van Halen. |
Taylor who? |
NP I don’t know that I think she’s ugly but I don’t find her very attractive. Part of it is her makeup and recent hair style. |
MAGA lover. |
She needs to write at least one really good iconic song that has such good melody and pace that almost everybody knows it. Like Dollys “I will always love you” or Deloris O’Riordens “Linger”,Blondies “Rapture” or Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a place on Earth” She has a lot of good songs but no really great iconic song with a really smart melody. |
She might be too old to write one. Most musical artists greatest works usually wrap up around 30 or younger. |
I loved Taylor during her debut album. The country and glitzy era. I thought she was gorgeous then but that's not obviously who she is. She's quirky and loves tumblr, I don't mind her lol.
I do think she's extremely manipulative and media savvy but i don't think thats a bad thing. The pap pics are getting to be a bit much though. Hopefully she will have some downtime again after the tour ends |
None of those comments were in the post you were responding to. I would argue that saying her eggs are drying up is probably true as I myself had a geriatric pregnancy at 36. She is pretty close to that and if she wants kids it is a reality she will have to deal with. Also it is a point of conversation that she is a symbol of over capitalism. So yes in some ways those can further discussion among women. People can think about freezing their own eggs and the fair trade/environmental impact of all those jet rides, plastic bracelets and memorabilia Taylor’s summer tour generated. As far as the ugly comments they are plain old mean. They do not however attack someone who is posting on this board or attack someone for expressing an opinion. The swifties mean girl Comments are designed to stop negative discourse about her and shame (not a huge celebrity that will never see the comments) but each individual reporter and poster who gives Taylor negative press. That is a bigger issue because she has her own little censorship police. Here is an article about one reporters experience: https://www.insider.com/harassment-taylor-swift-fan-base-worse-than-far-right-hate-2023-6 |
She is talented, powerful, and a great business person. She is a great role model for young women and I am glad my daughter can look up to someone like her. Her music is fine. |
