SR lost to Maryvale at home Friday by a couple goals. Maryvale subbed a bunch and took lots of starters out in about the third quarter it seemed. SR did some, but seemed like most key starters played whole game to get back into rhythm.

No wonder the SR parents got so quiet.

Because we're not on DCUM at 2:30 on a Sunday?

Also, thank you for the earlier hot take. We are going to suck this year so please look past us. All our good players went to college. Hopefully we'll have a winning record. Losing to us would be embarrassing.

SR parents may get some comeuppance this year. Look forward to seeing how they, along with their coach, handle some adversity. IMO, it's not going to be pretty.

What happened to "stacked" "deepest team and classes" and "the favorite" in the ISL?

How about the report that Potomac beat saints 6-1?

Saint had lots of sick kids, some not there. Lots of subbing.

Everyone subbed. Hope those girls feel better soon. Still, 6-1 may say something.

Simmer down Potomac parent - congrats you only posted about it 4 times to finally got a response...

Potomac is good - SSSAS is good, and it was practice.

This year is really Potomac’s last chance to be a top team. They disappointed last year and after this senior class is gone they really have nothing. Best of luck to them.

Potomac played PVI, Bullis, SSSAS & Holy Child.

How did they look? Any scores?

Looked solid. Depth looks better. Heard they won all and subbed liberally. Only score I heard was 6-1 vs SSSAS.

Interesting that you got eyes on the games to conclude “they looked solid and depth looks better” and yet you had to hear about “they won all and subbed liberally” and that they beat SSSAS 6-1.

Not many, if any, conclusions should be drawn from abbreviated scrimmages. Pretty sure all squads were experimenting in various ways. Best judge of how scrimmages would be how coaches felt at end of day. I am sure, Bullis coach, SSSAS coach and Potomac coach all have their own interpretation of how day went and hopefully they got something out of it. That's all that these scrimmages purpose is.
