So that's Collins

Do we have - or think we have - Romney and Murkowski? And then we need one more?

Wow. I didn't expect such forthrightness of Collins. Major CYA to please both parties before her potential re-election. I'll take it!

She will vote for the nominee after the election...win or not.

Maybe, maybe not. If she loses the election she will be free for the first time in her career. Then we will see what she really thinks. I think she really is pro-choice. I could be wrong though.

She is a pro-choice Republican and has made no bones about that. I am also a pro-choice Republican.

Hope you’re voting for Biden then.

Nope. I used to be a one-issue voter but no more. There are other issues at stake now.

I completely agree. There are many issues to vote on. But why are you choosing to support nepotism in our government and how is that not the biggest sign of corruption to you? Please explain.

There are at least four votes to overturn Roe on the Court right now, why do think it is safe? If someone like Barnett is confirmed, Roe is GONE, period. There is will no stopping right from getting everything they want- regulations, voting rights, civil rights as well.

+1. This is why I'm voting for Biden even though I'm pro-life.

No they wouldn’t. GOP would just run advertisement scaring them that Dems would bring Roe back. It will never end until we can oust religious fundamentalism.

How old are you? I’m betting under 35.

New Poster, but I doubt Roe will be overturned. Its likely they will go after PP vs Casey.

DP. I'm 30 and curious what I'm missing on the subject by not being 35+.

Not anymore. Trump captured the conservative evangelicals. They think he was sent by God to save the nation from the evil liberals. So now he can kill Roe, and go on to the rest of the agenda.

They had control of the gov until 2018 and didn't even manage to defund planned parenthood.

Other issues than a woman’s right to choose? Don’t really care about that one that much?

Don’t call yourself an advocate for women if you plan to vote for that monster.

Of course there are other issues IN ADDITION to a woman’s right to choose. I no longer vote on that one issue because I know that Roe v Wade will not be reversed, no matter how much Democrats try to fear monger. It just won’t. So now I’ve moved on to other issues that ALSO concern me. Unlike you, I’m able to consider multiple issues at one time.

No he's not. What could he possibly do to her, especially since he caused her to lose.

"You know that job you have lined up on K Street? I'll see to it that you don't get it."

Why would she care about that? She’s old and rich.

Why has she been in the Senate so long? People like to feel important.

Is that why RBG stayed on the SC for so long? I’m a fan of hers, but perhaps you should think before you speak.

Oh I consider about 30 issues and they all point me to walking over broken glass, if necessary, to vote out Trump.

First of all nobody knows the future, so no yoi do not know that. Second of all, if you are not aware that the conservative justices have been signalling that they would overturn Roe, you really haven't been paying attention.

I agree that Roe v Wade will never be overturned, but you’ve got that exactly opposite. It’s the Dems who use that issue to scare people into voting for them. Which is why we’re seeing more and more pro-choice Republicans. They’re wising up that they don’t have to vote Democrat because of that one issue anymore.

Anonymous wrote:So McConnell can ram through a SC confirmation but cannot pass another bill to help people who have lost their jobs because of Covid? Interesting.

Yup. Because the democrats got rid of the filibuster for judicial nominations. Resp the whirlwind.

Wrong. Dems left it for the supreme court. Republicans blew it up for gorsuch

If all she wants is a job, Biden will see to that and she even gets to be a bipartisan hero forever.
