So that's Collins

Do we have - or think we have - Romney and Murkowski? And then we need one more?

Wow. I didn't expect such forthrightness of Collins. Major CYA to please both parties before her potential re-election. I'll take it!

She will vote for the nominee after the election...win or not.

She says the decision should be that of the President elected on Nov 3rd. Do you think she will go back on her official statement? I don't.

Maybe, maybe not. If she loses the election she will be free for the first time in her career. Then we will see what she really thinks. I think she really is pro-choice. I could be wrong though.

She is a pro-choice Republican and has made no bones about that. I am also a pro-choice Republican.

Hope you’re voting for Biden then.

But Congress is only in office until Jan 2. The 117th Congress will be seated on Jan 3, 2021. So that means that the winners of the Nov 3 election will be the new Senators at that point. There is a good chance that the Senate will flip in November, possibly even greater now under the circumstances.

If Trump loses, Senate Republicans have to decide if they really want to anger President-Elect Biden by ignoring the so called Biden Rule. That should at least give them pause.

No he's not. What could he possibly do to her, especially since he caused her to lose.

Nope. I used to be a one-issue voter but no more. There are other issues at stake now.

Other issues than a woman’s right to choose? Don’t really care about that one that much?

Don’t call yourself an advocate for women if you plan to vote for that monster.

It's time to play dirty. So be it.

They’ve been playing that card with unemployment for six weeks now. Don’t see how this is going to move the needle more than UI, wildfire aid, hurricane response, COVID testing, USPS funding and whatever else.

I seem to remember hearings happening during the last shutdown. If the Dems shut down the government, would that actually slow down the process?

Why would she care about that? She’s old and rich.

Roe will never be overturned. GOP only uses that to get the “unborn babies” lovers to vote for them. The whole point of stacking conservative SCOTUS is citizens united, rolling back regulations and voter suppression. Oh and letting Trump off the hook for his crimes. If Roe were to be overturned, the evangelicals would stay home.

Why has she been in the Senate so long? People like to feel important.

How old are you? I’m betting under 35.
