What life? Covid screwed over most students the past year.

Most of her freshman year was normal. She had seen enough of depressing Ann Arbor. Plus public U kids were being thirsty and using her for social media clout.

Half of her freshman year was normal. The rest of her time was not. You’re the same troll that calls A2 depressing in every thread.

You are spending an unhealthy amount of time on a message board if you think everyone is the same person. UMich shut down in mid March 2020. The semester ended April 20th. And Ann Arbor is a depressing place. Sorry you're stuck there, romaniypsieyes.

You are spending an unhealthy amount of time on the message boards. You even think that I’m romanigypsieyew, whoever the hell that is.

Way to out yourself, nutjob. Nobody typed gypsy. You did. Because that's your college confidential username, where you're a moderator and have like 100k posts. You don't live in the DMV, you've never lived in the DMV. You're a Michigan lifer. Stop spamming this forum with your crap.

Ann Arbor is like a trailer park compared to Southern California. The dozens of blocks around U-M's campus are called a "student ghetto" because it's nothing but run-down sh*tshacks. The vibes couldn't be more different.

Only issue with USC is that there are paparazzi everywhere. The Obama sisters can't go out for a pizza without a photographer snapping them.

If she wanted privacy, USC is the LAST place to go. At least it's a private campus. I don't think paparazzi could've been stopped from coming on campus if she was at UCLA - it's open to the public.

One is a college town, one is not. USC is great, but it does not have the vibe.

Michigan is where the rich Californians send their dumbest kid because Michigan is money hungry and loves OOS full pays. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's gorgeous charming son went to USC, while their obese a-hole idiot son went to Michigan.

USC vibes are unparalleled. UCLA's campus is also a vibe but the students are intense swots, thus harshing said vibe.

Does USC make undergraduates live on campus for one or two years? Do the rich kids all move to West Hollywood and downtown? I think Greek life is major there, so maybe a lot of them are in Greek houses for a year or two, too.

+1. I went to grad school at Ann Arbor. It is fine for a college town, but it is nothing like LA.

Idk the reality but if my impression was based on what I see on newsfeed, she doesn’t look academically inclined or super intelligent like Jennifer Gates, more like Paris Hilton style fashionista. For all we know, USC was her first choice but wouldn’t have looked favorable due to hot admission scandal that year.

Its not like what she does matters, all doors are open for her. However, everyone wants a college experience and a degree. Its not like her mom is using her degree. These are privileged people, let them enjoy their blessings.

I guess there is one downside to fame, everyone has an opinion about you but those opinions do creat clicks for more fame and money.

Why usc and not Stanford or Pomona or hyp?

It’s clear she’s going to usc for clout and vibes.

Honest, I dunno why the Obama girls are attending college. They aren’t Chelsea Clinton. They don’t need college to do what they want to do

?? What do you know about what they want to do?

I know they don’t want to get doctorates or work in top tier tech/consulting/finance/Medicine jobs like Chelsea.

They wanna do showbiz. Any show runner or studio will hire them without college.

Let’s assume that this is true. Do you also “know” that in a few years, they won’t want to go to law school? Aside from that, many people value their college experiences for things not directly related to jobs.

If you let 100 high school seniors fly into Ann Arbor today and then to Los Angeles tomorrow, how many of the 100 will want to go to college in Ann Arbor over USC?

np Why would you say this? Please tell us what "looks academically inclined" or "super intelligent". You sound super racist for saying that. I bet both girls are very intelligent. After all, their parents are!

Some people doesn’t see entertainment aspirations and interests as academically inclined. Paris Hilton is mentioned so not racist but biased. Gates daughter is med student and athlete so different vibe.

I think Malia dresses nerdy, Sasha more fashionably by the look in media pictures. Both look gorgeous and bright. They’ll do fine in life. Who knows, may end up getting PhDs. Its too early to tell.
