Don’t worry, there is an engineer coming out to check out the septic issue mentioned by Gunston parents.

It’s not 1000, it’s about 100! |
Put your ego away and let’s move on to having a fruitful discussion |
I've followed this fairly closely and I couldn't answer that question, since Reid's recommendations have not been made public. There were definitely things in Scenario 4 that, unless cured, seem like they'd lead some board members to vote against the package. But you've now got an 11-person board (Braddock seat is vacant) with six members (Sandy Anderson, Seema Dixit, Karl Frisch, Robyn Lady, Kyle McDaniel, and Marcia St. John Cunning) who'll likely be rubber stamps, either because they are party hacks who need to declare this botched review a "success," are tired of it, or want to see a particular change go through, even if some of the other changes are shit. |
Let’s move it…. Getting inappropriate |
As a current Gunston parent, I’d love for an engine to come out. Maybe he can provide an estimate as to what it will cost to repair the current septic system to support the current student population without requiring daily trips by septic trucks to empty the system. |
Ok Lorton Station mom, or maybe you’re a Saratoga mom afraid your kids will get kicked out of an AAP center not even in the Lewis Pyramid. It’s pretty hilarious how you keep trying to disparage Gunston parents for wanting to keep their community intact, instead of finding ways to embrace and make the Hagel Circle families feel welcome within their community. |
Yup, that’s the voting bloc. They’re the ones I said I liked in the favorite board members thread and people thought it was a random collection. Who cares what they say, how they look, or what background they have? All I care about is their votes. |
Um, OK. What aspect of the upcoming boundary changes do you think overrides everything else? |
If they are really getting their tanks emptied daily or even multiple times a week, that’s crazy. There’s no way they could take another large neighborhood at that point. They’d be at risk of daily overflows, can you imagine? Residential septic tanks are emptied about every 5 years. |
| When is the final vote in the boundary changes? |
| Somebody deleted what I wrote earlier quoting Salt Lake housewives! |
So you’re saying Gunston Elementary currently requires trucks to come out and remove waste? What we heard from Eric Gordon, it was every couple years. |
To me, the boundary changes and the new high school are the only issues where a voting bloc actually matters. What other contentious topics are out there? The board members are all liberal, and they usually vote the same anyway. The boundary change is the only issue where we see real division among them. |
What do you mean keep the community intact, Hagel Circle was part of Gunston Elementary and never zoned for Lorton Station. We don’t even go to the same South County like you all. They are part of your community but y’all kept them out! It’s about the same distance. Lorton station was overcrowded for many years. Check all the capacity limits from 2005-2020. Its boundaries never really changed yet at one point there were 6 trailers. Major issue because it serves two large apartment complexes. It was made part of scenario 4 for a reason and Gunston Parents on Oct. 22nd threw a fit to keep Hagel Circle out. I WAS THERE!!! |
