Agreed. The whole campaign plot line was unbelievable and boring from the start. And I really don’t care that Nicky is alive because he is an unlikeable character. The show seems to be losing its way and is more focused on plot twists than character development.

I hope the Nicky/Vietnam plot doesn't take over the show like Don Draper/Dick Whitman on Mad Men. The endless rehashing made the show nearly unwatcheable for me. Seems like they are angling for a relative of Jack who might have been or maybe is still alive, but they are dragging out way too many plot twists to get to the point.

The campaign is nothing more than a plot to knock Randall off his pedestal. We knew had flaws, but suddenly choosing to serve a community where his father lived over his family has sharply dimmed his shining star status. People do choose their jobs over their family at times and sometimes every time, but the campaign is making him seem like a detached ass. I don't want him to win the election, but something tells me he will like a scandal will come out about the current councilman or a health scare something so that he wins.

I think he's going to win. He'll stick it out and the enthusiastic reception he received at the debate will trickle out to others, and all of a sudden his poll numbers will go up. He and Beth will not get a divorce (not sure why that's being floated? They had an argument!). And after he wins, we'll have to listen to all sorts of boring, city business that will put us to sleep because it's so mundane. Yawn.

That's all that was said. I posted earlier that my theory is future Rebecca has Alzheimer's and they use the game as some sort of memory aid/game/exercise.

Was she actually running the ballet rehearsal or just observing? While watching it live, I assumed she was running it but then realized that might not make sense. I can’t remember exactly how it was shown in that scene. She’s standing above, so maybe there was a ballet instructor on the main floor in front of dancers and out of the line of sight?

It looked to me like she was running the class. She said, "Good transition!" to the dancers, so she obviously knows what to look for.

When I see scenes like that I wonder if there really are people in real life who can handle tough conversations so well and make it authentic. and when Rebecca sits next to Tess in the auditorium and talks about holding in feelings. it makes me feel inadequate like I could never be that wise

Tess was amazing in that scene. And then when the conversation was over and she was about to go back up the stairs, her expression trying to hold the tears back was so real. I felt exactly like that when having to initiate hard conversations with my parents.

Yes, this is what happened and it’s not believable unless it’s revealed that she was a dancer in her younger years. I guess it’s possible. It is just a tv show.

Yeah I would love to more about Miguel too. Like his own flashbacks immigrating to the US.

Miguel is Puerto Rican. He did not immigrate to the the US. He is from the US.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. And they're the married couple that communicates and talk things through. So the quit-No-you're on the couch scene feels abrupt and completely out of character for them.

I wish they'd do a flashback to Randall and Beth's college years. I think they may have done it very briefly, once. Maybe she was a dancer back then. I'd also kind of like to see what Kevin was like during his early marriage to Sophie.

Miguel is Puerto Rican. He did not immigrate to the the US. He is from the US.

Pretty sure you know what the PP means, you're just being argumentative. Yes, we all know that he's Puerto Rican and so an American citizen by birth. However, he was telling younger Randall what his life was like as a child in the U.S. when he and his family had recently moved from PR and he had a Spanish accent.

How do these people live, eat and pay their mortgage? Nobody seems to work or worry about money ( not Kevin). Kate has her barely there singing gigs, but what about Toby? Does Randall worry about 529s?

I've wondered this too. There was one vague reference to Toby telling his coworkers something, but I have no idea what he does.
