I thought she just said she was going to see Randall's mother and thanked the person for bring the pin the tail on the donkey game.

I think it’s so odd that Beth would be able to run a classical ballet rehearsal. Does she have any ballet training? It would be more likely that she was in charge of the building or program from a business/community perspective (like an executive director vs an artistic director). Of all dance disciplines,,Ballet requires the most training.

Was she actually running the ballet rehearsal or just observing? While watching it live, I assumed she was running it but then realized that might not make sense. I can’t remember exactly how it was shown in that scene. She’s standing above, so maybe there was a ballet instructor on the main floor in front of dancers and out of the line of sight?

you do it after. bake the layers, cut out a round area in a few of the layers, add m&Ms, add top layer and frost/fondant.

The Vietnam scenes are hard for me to follow but I usually do a bunch of other stuff while I watch the show.

I love good casting and agree they did a great job!

Thank you, It was the word Mom that I missed then. I even played it back and couldnt understand it.

I’m not that into the Vietnam scenes with Jack, mainly because “the heroics of Jack Pearson” are getting a little stale for me, but I love, love love, the scenes with Kevin, especially when the Vietnamese guy sees his disappointment and puts their meeting in a larger, more meaningful context. It might seem kind of manipulative or cheesy to some, but having watched all of the Burns documentary, that conversation seems very authentic.

And how insanely adorable is Zoe? I appreciate the complexity they’re starting to reveal about her. She and Miguel are who I am most looking forward to seeing in future episodes.

Yeah I would love to more about Miguel too. Like his own flashbacks immigrating to the US.

I assumed she is managing a much larger community arts center. Like The ARC in DC? a huge space with dance, music etc. It would definitely need to be managed with someone with more a CEO background etc.

That cake was great. I’m definitely going to try making one!

That's what I think too. And since this looks like it may be in William's old neighborhood, I hold out hope that this means that she and Randall are still married and just fine. (please)

Was it? The group of dancers were mostly white I think - which doesn't seem like it would fit that neighborhood.

I love Zoe. She always looks great.

Did Beth have a dancing background? We definitely heard her briefly critique a dancer. Perhaps the neighborhood underwent gentrification and they built a dance school there to revitalize the neighborhood.

Maybe it's a program at the community center Randall will revitalize when he wins the election.

so which scenes made you cry? the scene with tess telling her parents about crushes was amazing, the actress who plays tess is truly talented! those tears!

When I see scenes like that I wonder if there really are people in real life who can handle tough conversations so well and make it authentic. and when Rebecca sits next to Tess in the auditorium and talks about holding in feelings. it makes me feel inadequate like I could never be that wise
