John ended up bring a pretty good guy for trying to protect his other son Ryan. Sexual relationship with Erin was not really a problem and would have been a non-issue if she had been 16 instead of barely, if even, 15. Also, John should not serve time for any crime with covering up murder.

The other person disagrees on every point. So how does DCUM vote? Yes, John should get DJ or no way.

WTH? Uh, no. Taking your cousin’s kid isn’t ever ok.

Not the same after Zabel. His death was unnecessary, just shock value that added nothing meaningful to the story.

It was a great plot point.

Like the death of Stringer Bell halfway through the Wire.

Not all shows have to end on Pollyanna notes with happy endings for all or even most.

I love them, too - very attractive all around. Looking forward to looking up everyone on IMDB.

Plus there was a theme of mothers losing their sons, and that was one example.

Waaaayyy too depressing.

And if this doesn’t show all those a@@holes over in the relationship forum how kids (especially teens) often discover the parents cheating/affairs before their mother or father does and what a toll that takes on them. AWFUL.

I was so depressed seeing that poor sweet boy who just wanted anything to keep his family together and protect his moms from finding out/getting hurt AGAIN.

Great acting abs plot twist but I need an antidepressant after watching that series. It brought me low. Maybe because I have a sweet 13-year old boy and the thought of him locked up and sleeping in a cell...for something his dad cooked up with his nasty behavior...that poor woman.

The actress is Julianne Nicholson.

What was the scene where Billy confessed to John? Why would he do that if they both knew that Billy didn’t do it?

John pressured him into it. Billy is a drunk, might not remember what happened that night and John convinced him that he did it. John forced Billy to say the words to establish that they were on the same page in re: the confession. Either this, or John convinced Billy that he (a drunk loser without his own family) could do something really good by taking the blame for Ryan’s crime.

That dude’s affairs destroyed so many lives and people. It’s never ok. Liars hurt others. They weave more and more crap into continue their cover stories that when it comes down like a house of cards the people that trusted and loved them are destroyed. It messes kids’ heads up for life.

Yes! It was just like Stringer. Sad to see such amazing characters depart and then the show seems empty.

Please stop calling what happened with Erin an affair. It was child abuse.

Correct. The first affair with married Sandra was an affair. The second one, with Erin, was child abuse.

And after the first one even---Ryan (the son ) found out first and had all kinds of stomach issues, missing school, crying, and trauma...not to mention the mother once she found out. The 2nd thing---no words.
