+1 Not even in Easttown, where things are done a bit differently. The Chief wouldn’t have welcomed Mare back on the force after she planted drugs on Kevin’s mother, either. I decided to suspend my disbelief because it was a great series despite those oddities or holes.

I mean, after finding the perv who got the first two girls and locked them up, she had some wiggle room. Weird that there was never a tie-in to those cases and Erin, at all. Annoying red herring.

Binge watched this over the weekend! I liked it more than I thought I would. I really liked the Zabel character and was really shocked when he died. Evan Peters is a great actor. Playing drunk is really tough and he did an amazing job with that scene at the bar.

I really liked Lori but I was so annoyed when she told Mare that her whole family was gone because of Mare. No, your whole family is gone because of John!

Poor Billy! His brother convinced him to take a murder rap and then was going to kill him anyway and all that was a-okay with his sister in law.

I agree with everyone who said DJ shouldn't, and wouldn't, be with Lori.

I thought the scene where John actually couldn’t shoot his brother even though Billy told him to was very powerful. Maybe he’d have gotten there if not for Mare. But along with taking one for Ryan, this showed that John was not a complete sociopath. Only mostly.

Agree it’s John’s fault, but it’s similar to wives who blame the other woman for their husband’s affair. People look to blame others instead of their loved ones.

Fantastic series. I hope for another season, but only if they come up with something really good. They already have a lot of great potential material just with unexplored back stories.

My mother and I were debating DJ's adoption, one of us felt DJ should be with John & family since John is bio father and wants him. John ended up bring a pretty good guy for trying to protect his other son Ryan. Sexual relationship with Erin was not really a problem and would have been a non-issue if she had been 16 instead of barely, if even, 15. Also, John should not serve time for any crime with covering up murder.

The other person disagrees on every point. So how does DCUM vote? Yes, John should get DJ or no way.
