I didn't see the statement or the clip, but that's basic Great Replacement Theory stuff. Which is very interesting since his own children have immigrant grandparents. I realize that he might think, or even believe, that there's a distinction here, but you can't adopt a White Supremacist principle and make it your own.

Well... first of all. The stuff about him winning NJ is complete nonsense. But he had traction that he never had before, that IS true.

Here's what happened—Trump offered it Ben Carson, who accepted. But then Biden appeared dead in the water, a rout looked like it was on their way, and Don Jr and Eric started agitating to not go for the DEI pick, to go for the guy who will make libs cry—this election is an easy layup, turn it into a dunk by picking this real SOB. They got REAL high on their own supply. They ignored the grownups who said they needed to appeal to women or minorities, they ignored the people who said that Vance is the mortal enemy of the financial industry which is the single biggest source of donations for the GOP and who would pull donations from down ticket campaigns.

And that's all before the possibility that he romances furniture, hates cats, hates women, etc., took over the election cycle.

Huge, huge misstep.

Why WOULD Carson takl about it? It's humiliating. There was some event in one of the Trump campaigns where they showed up in Detroit at Carson's childhood home or something, Trump took a picture, said something stupid and then got inot his motorcade and roared off, and they literally left Ben Carson standing there staring at 30 reporters... he had to ask the media for a ride back to campaign HQ. There's a non-zero chance that he's sitting patiently in a makeshift green room in the bowels of the Milwauke Bucks arena, serenly listening to his wife Candy play the violin, waiting for someone to come and tell him it's time to come out to the stage and accept the VP nomination.

It literally doesn't matter to me if you believe me. If you know ANYONE in DC GOP circles, text them... they're hearing it too, I promise you. But whatever.

What WAS publicly reported was that it was down to Vance, Carson, Burgum and Rubio. Rubio is a sissy, Burgum and Carson are the only real options, and if you're making a genuine effort to game out the best VP pick for expanding the appeal of the ticket, it would be Carson. It's true it's just a rumor, but also it's one that checks out.
