To either give credence to or discredit he hates women talk |
He'll blame them. Wow, can you imagine the screaming right about now? Wonder what Kim G thinks. |
Hubris. |
Source? I wonder why Carson is being quiet about this. It sounds like sabotage by his sons for which we should be grateful if it tanks his campaign. |
I would never. I don’t want to be in the public eye for even a day. |
It's going around political group texts. Why WOULD Carson takl about it? It's humiliating. There was some event in one of the Trump campaigns where they showed up in Detroit at Carson's childhood home or something, Trump took a picture, said something stupid and then got inot his motorcade and roared off, and they literally left Ben Carson standing there staring at 30 reporters... he had to ask the media for a ride back to campaign HQ. There's a non-zero chance that he's sitting patiently in a makeshift green room in the bowels of the Milwauke Bucks arena, serenly listening to his wife Candy play the violin, waiting for someone to come and tell him it's time to come out to the stage and accept the VP nomination. |
This misses the point. The point is that Vance is advocating that women be treated as second class citizens. And even worse, singles out black women in this clip. |
ESPECIALLY be in the public eye as the woman who admits she let that guy do it to her. Besides the avalanche of death threats, tweets from Trump that she was actually as ugly as a dog, etc., she would have to spend her whole time answering questions about his furniture preferences, and a lot of people will assume she's a couch, not a woman. |
“Do it to her”? That’s how you view sex? |
No, but that is without a doubt how JD Vance views it. |
I understand the point. I was just wondering. |
Found this article which explains a little more about where had grew up. He’s got credibility, IMO:
“Strictly speaking, southwestern Ohio is not part of Appalachia. The state’s southeast, adjoining West Virginia, is considered the foothills of this mountain region. The southwest, on the other hand, bordering Kentucky, is squarely Midwestern, but strongly infused with Appalachian heritage. “As in Appalachia, varied landscapes and mass migration have shaped this corner of the state. In the mid-20th century, economic upheaval—most notably mechanization in the coal mining industry—pushed Vance’s grandparents and many thousands of fellow Appalachians to seek new prospects in the Midwest, especially Ohio. “ “Despite the traditional values borne by Appalachian migrants, Vance grew up in a world where the pejorative “hillbilly” retained the sting of prejudice, and where deindustrialization fed into cycles of unemployment and despair—patterns familiar in many areas of the United States that feel left behind by economic change.” “My grandparents uprooted themselves from the real Kentucky and relocated to Middletucky in search of a better life,” wrote Vance, referencing Middletown’s sardonic nickname, “and in some ways they found it.” But they maintained ties across the Ohio River, and Vance’s fondest childhood memories were summer visits with family in Kentucky.” https://www.fastcompany.com/91162122/closer-look-middletown-ohio-featured-jd-vances-hillbilly-elegy |
And Joe Biden was born in Scranton. Who cares? |
In an attempt to repair his cat lady comment, Vance said that Democrats think America can replace children with illegal immigrants???????
Seriously, who buys what they are trying to sell? |
