I’m wondering how much money DC soccer club is paying for the lawyer that is representing Michelle Alioto and Greg Andrulis to cover this mess??? So Dc Soccer Club members are paying the tab?

Wow!

Exactly!! Thanks tom - for handling this with zero integrity and at everyone expense. If Tom wanted further investigation or legal action, he should have asked for it BEFORE he stole data and acted like self interested criminal. Sadly for Tom, DC is full of smart people and the timeline doesn’t fit his self serving narrative. He gives me entitled private school rich kid vibes, like he always lied his way out of trouble. Maybe it will work again.

You both come out bad. This is obviously MA or GA or someone from DCSC. You simply can’t be dismissive of sexual assault. The attitude from the pro-DCSC posts has been disheartening.

I do not fully trust TW’s narrative but you have to respect it and handle it better than DCSC did. As a DC resident who would never have had child in either club again give TW Brookland back and TW stop spamming people. DCSC is not going to serve anybody but NW DC and let TW serve Upper NE.

Wow!

What a disgusting point of view.

Andrulis has faced challenges consistently in his career. A thorough assessment of his work history is essential. It brings into question whether MA is suitable for the CXO role, given her lack of experience as a director. This decision to hire could lead to concerns regarding competency and potential conflicts of interest.

I think each person involved is unfit to mentor children. My kids won’t be with either DC Soccer or whatever Tom Walsh decides to do. It seems like they all have questionable values and can’t see past themselves.

Looks like someone really got poked in the wound. The intensity of late-night responses says a lot. It would be far more constructive to shift that energy toward clarifying facts rather than targeting individuals. Families deserve honest answers, not more drama.

Some recent decisions continue to raise concerns that haven’t been addressed publicly.
Greg’s move to bring in Tom’s club and allow all players into Travel without cuts. It appears to be driven more by financial opportunity than player development. Expanding Travel rosters increases revenue but dilutes competitiveness and affects the experience for those seeking higher-level play. At the same time, the core issue of field space remains unresolved. Growing the club without solving that fundamental problem creates a downhill slope, one that may look positive on a financial report, but comes at the cost of retaining quality players and delivering quality services.
These decisions impact the entire community and deserve more serious reflection.

DC soccer is known for dual registering players. Rec players playing in travel and vice versa. That is your Andrulis player development mentality. The technical department is just closing their eyes and letting him do it and cashing the paychecks.

If their rec teams play in NCSL, they aren't allowed dual rostered players.

As a proud DC resident whose kid plays for a MLS Next team outside of the city, GA is not going to listen. I have a colleague who speaks to him regularly and says he is extremely confident in the program’s direction and he is not really open to outside solutions (ie arrogant).

We started in DC Soccer rec and their team completely bungled everything to let my kid out the door. If DC Soccer would get their stuff together I am very confident that if the boys in my son’s age group were not being exported to MD and VA, they could have the best squad in the area. That is how much talent is in the District but they are spread out among 3-5 teams.

Field space is a more complex issue. First, you must research the new non-turf options which GA and DC Soccer actually have per my source. Second, you will need to obtain sponsors to renovate a field like Hearst or Ft. Steven’s into turf with lights. Hearst has been redone again with grass which looks good now but will not be maintained by the District and you can’t have the activity level there as you can with turf. Third, you must also be willing to practice all over the city because there are fields available. You may have to rent temporary lighting like many Virginia programs have at field without permanent lights. This can be used to mitigate the lack of lighting at many fields and make them useable. Finally, you don’t need a lot of space to get a quality session in. It just needs to be flat. Be creative and simply focus on obtaining quality coaching.

As a DC resident and soccer lover, I really hope DC Soccer or another entity gets things together for soccer families living in the District.

Hi all,

I wanted to share a perspective regarding leadership within the program, in the spirit of transparency and ongoing improvement.

It’s been mentioned that Greg Andrulis is highly confident in the direction of the program and generally not very receptive to external input. While strong leadership can be valuable, it’s also important to assess how that leadership is being received internally.

I believe it would be worthwhile, and responsible, to gather anonymous, confidential feedback from current DCSC coaching staff and families to understand how they view the leadership structure, communication style, and overall direction of the program. Creating space for honest feedback (without fear of retaliation) could be a meaningful step toward ensuring the organization continues to grow in a healthy and inclusive way.

This suggestion comes from a place of constructive concern, not criticism. I hope we can explore this thoughtfully and respectfully.

Thank you! Happy Friday to ya!

There have been ongoing concerns raised by members of the community regarding how past incidents were handled by club leadership, particularly around SafeSport reporting and internal promotion practices. I believe it’s fair and important to ask for clarity and responsible leadership from those in leadership roles at the club.

Have had to take annual harassment trainings for years. Pretty sure telling the one accusing to confront their potential harasser boss isn't in the manual. And then backing the potential harasser when all of a sudden they give the accuser a bad performance review and ignoring using HR at all isn't in the manual. Expecting clarity from those not following proper procedures isn't realistic. Especially when a legal case is going on. Regardless of the outcome, it absolutely stinks that those in the industry detail your career when you are a whistleblower.
