Tell the GOP. They’re the ones obsessing over it morning noon and night.

Nice gaslighting. This topic is all Democrats want to talk about, 24/7. Most Americans just want you to shut up. That you refuse to acknowledge this shows what a complete echo chamber you’re living in.

Let’s take this site as a good example. You could ask Jeff who talks about LGBTQIA+ issues endlessly? It’s not Democrats.

Frankly, the homophobia rampant among Republicans like you only convinces me that a huge number of you are closeted. The way you all obsess over this issue tells on you in a way you haven’t grasped.

I don’t have many republican friends but I do have a few black friends and “no homo” is a common term I hear them say often.

What the hell are you trying to say with your last statement?

Interesting article on who is funding the push to roll back LGBT rights.

Unsurprisingly, they’re the ones pushing for abortion bans. At some point, I hope people understand that most Americans don’t want to live in a Christian theocracy. I’d love for them to stop trying to make me abide by the laws of their chosen religion.

Ah yes, anyone who just wants gay people to be treated like everyone else and not singled out for their “specialness(??)” is homophobic. I’ll let my gay sibling and friends know how homophobic they are, thanks!

It's so weird they conflate abortion and Gay rights. Gay people are not the ones getting most abortions. Gay people are not the reason straight marriages fail and end in divorce at a huge rate.

Oh please.

FACT: 99% of America never even heard of Dylan Mulvaney until you right wingers blew it up and went on and on and on about it nonstop 24x7.

It's all YOU want to talk about. If it were us talking about it everyone would have heard about Dylan Mulvaney from the left instead of from the right.

I don't think anyone is directly conflating them but they are both about standing up for rights.

Transsexuality, IMHO, creates a totally different set of issues. Trans people deserve respect, dignity, and protection under the law. I think the whole bathroom controversy is pretty malarkey because trans people just want to pee, they don't want to touch your private parts. However, I am VERY against parents allowing their kids to have trans surgery, the same way that I am completely against parents putting their kids into gay conversion therapy. I also think there is merit to the concerns in sports which have been discussed ad nauseam.

Like all mammals, we as humans have breeds with distinctions; if trans women are women like I believe, then why is it so wrong to think of them as their own distinct breed of women? Please don't flame me because of course trans people are not animals, I just think that mammal science can give us some pointers on this.

Why do you think you should have any say in the personal medical decisions of parents and their kids? And, of course, gay conversion therapy is absolutely known to be cruel and harmful. Transition is not. You just disagree with it.

Why my kids participate other mental health?

Someone come get their bot; it’s malfunctioning.

This is a difficult one for me. I grew up in an evangelical church where I was preached to about homosexuality being a sin and how gay marriage would open the door to anything and everything.

I didn’t really know what to think, and grew up to become a moderate voter who has some progressive beliefs. I’m hardly conservative but not very liberal either.

Now I’m really concerned the minister and others were right. Now gay marriage is legal and we have drag queen events at my local bookstore in a small town. The transgender kid thing is bizarre and doesn’t make sense. I was recently asked at the on-gyn if I identify as a woman or man or if I’m a man or woman. It seems like gay marriage has made everything worse. I don’t want homosexuality in my face and don’t want my kids exposed at a young age. It used to be a fringe lifestyle and now it’s something young kids are exposed to on a regular basis. Make it stop.

No other group is more insistent on not being left alone. No other "oppressed minority group" is more celebrated and gets more exposure.

-pride rainbow flags everywhere
-pride parties at the White House
-forcing people to use your preferred pronouns
-demanding access to women's spaces and pride parades
-drag queen story hours at publics schools and libraries?

Hello! Why do you say they want to be left alone while they are begging to be seen, heard, tolerated, accepted and validated?

I’m a conservativeish moderate. I have no desire to stop gay people from getting married or adopting.

However, I want gay people to be as safe as possible in public which is why I think that if a baker doesn’t want to make you a cake because you’re queer, than you should find another baker for the safety of you and your guests. It’s a cake- a hateful baker could poison it! I just want our society to get over the fact that LGBTQ folks exist and move on. I have a few questions about trans people (and I think there should be a separate league for trans athletes) but my faith tells me to love everyone.

I don’t think kids need to learn about LGBTQ topics in school. My kids know that some people are gay, some people are straight, some people are trans/bi/etc and that we should love them. That’s all they need to know.

It does drive me a little crazy as a biracial woman that I get a day and queer people get a month. Doesn’t really seem fair considering the days inner racial and gay marriage were legalized during the same month.

I am just tired of the acceptance of exhibitionism when it comes to all things Pride.
Why? Why is this necessary? And, why in front of children?
Do what you want in the privacy of your home.

Being topless in NYC is legal for all men and all women all year long. I would say that if you saw this in public and you were with a child, you can take your child away from the situation. This is true whether is a group of lesbians as in the video or a single straight woman choosing to walk topless down the street.

Making it legal does not make it right.
