What food do you eat that makes you feel like you are taking care of you?

Putting avocados in stuff like salads, on top of soup, etc. Any warm, cooked vegetable but especially eggplant and zucchini. Tomato cucumber salad with sesame oil.

Plus they don't have all of the heavy metal issues from larger fish and are much more sustainable environmentally. I eat them at 2 or 3 PM instead of a junky snack and they keep me satisfied until dinner.

Wait -- what?!

Hat's off PP. I hear you on the nutrients but I just couldn't do this...

I'm not PP but we make our own Caesar with extra anchovy in the vitamix. All these benefits but much more palatable.

I always ate cabbage soup a restaurant in Macomb County, Michigan (Andrea’s Garden), but I’m thinking (based on my memories) this would get the job done:

Had no idea it was the basis of a diet!

This great thanks! Going to make it today. Had no idea it was the basis of a diet either.

If I feel gross or need a reset I usually order Sweetgreen, extra spicy broccoli for lunch.

We also do smoothies for dinner at least once a week in my house and my kids love it. Spinach or kale, bananas, frozen mixed berries, milk and a little honey. Other fruits that I need to use up.

Eggs and avocado every morning. Fills me up and prevents me from eating crap the rest of the day. I've noticed if I have something indulging like cereal or a bagel, it's downhill from there the rest of the day.

Not a food, but green tea in the afternoon. Real, loose leaf green tea, brewed to the correct temp.

Ha, sardine eater here. My Polish father ate a ton of canned fish when I was a kid, so it's not out of the ordinary. My sister eats anchovies out of the can, which is too much even for me! There are tons of recipes online for incorporated sardines into your diet if you are interested in trying them, but need to tone them down. They really are good for you, particularly if you don't eat a lot of dairy and need calcium in your diet.

Bonus is that everyone in the household loves it.
