Cabbage Lady, come here.

I love napa cabbage (thanks Hmart!). I saute it and top with a little sesame oil, salt and pepper, sriacha, and some crushed peanuts or sesame seeds.

We also put cabbage in our fish tacos --shred or thinly slice it and combine with chopped jalapenos, a little white onion, chopped cilantro, and a little crema (or combo of sour cream and mayonnaise to imitate crema). My kids will eat that plain, no fish or tortillas required.

Thank you Cabbage Lady!!

You are very welcome! But, thanks to OP, she/he invited me!

CL here. That sounds delicious. I did not try it in fish tacos, but I will now.
You guys know at food courts in malls, the Chinese food ones, where they serve sides and bourbon chicken and all that? I've been known to order just cabbage from them. There is one confused worker at Clarksburg Outlets that thinks I am very odd. "Just cabbage?" she asks, and I say, yes, please. I think she is a bit offended, tbh.

When I’ve roasted I cabbage in the past, it seemed to get tough...what did I do wrong?

Do you do cabbage steaks? Or how do you roast?

Maybe its not left long enough? I do like this: https://www.everydaymaven.com/garlic-rubbed-roasted-cabbage-steaks/ and it comes out pretty soft. Now I'm too lazy for the steaks, though, and shred the cabbage and toss with olive oil, salt and garlic. It cooks faster in the oven if its shredded and comes out softer.

We were skeptical when a lot of Blue Apron meals came with cabbage but have found that the various slaws and roasting directions have been very yummy. I have no problem incorporating cabbage into meals. Swap out mayo for Greek Yogurt and you can have a healthier coleslaw.

CL here. I would like to learn a few Indian cabbage dishes though. Thinking about Sabzi. I also like cabbage hash browns!

Love all this cabbage enthusiasm. I used to eat cabbage, carrots and Wishbone Italian dressing when I was a kid. It was like my favorite meal!

Here's a soup I just made and it was delicious!

I love this thread and the recipe ideas. My kids go bananas over these Japanese cabbage pancakes. I've never tried the sauces recommended, we just put low sodium soy sauce on top. https://www.budgetbytes.com/savory-cabbage-pancakes-okonomiyaki/

Tonight I made for dinner roasted chicken pieces on top of a bed of cabbage and carrots. Large pieces of cut-up cabbage. I got this recipe and modified it a bit from another dcum pp. It was delicious! Use spices you like, salt, pepper, seasoned salt.

I also eat fresh cabbage rolls/cups with a bit of ground beef/chicken or turkey, not too much meat, BCS of calories. I make a sauce with tabasco, sugar-free ketchup, and vinegar. (king od like hot wings sauce) I do this with whole cabbage leave that has been pickled. It tastes like sauerkraut.

Cabbage soup is also delicious. I sautee onion and garlic in a large pot, then add large quarters of cabbage, add spices, tomato paste, pepper if you like it, and carrots and cook it for 40 minutes or less, till it is tender.

My favorite "salad" is shredded cabbage with a bit of salt and vinegar.
I have more recipes involving fresh cabbage and sauerkraut, eggs, and potatoes, but I hope this can get you started.

I just want to say that I love you for owning it and sharing your enthusiasm. It's infectious!
