For the cabbage with salt and vinegar, rub the bowl with garlic first -- my Granddad's recipe. |
Which thingy? Was it a salad and did your kids eat it? |

The street taco topping recipe a few pages back. My 3 year old who will eat anything ate it. My 8 year old picky eater did not. My husband lost his mind over it. I would give it a 6.5/10. Not entirely my jam but still tasty and a solid cabbage start for our household. |
Many thanks! I've learned so much from this thread too. CL. |

You can buy these cabbage leaves in Canada. I wonder if they sell them in the U.S. too? Great for cabbage rolls. |
I’m bumping Cabbage Lady’s thread to recommend sautéed cabbage with your corned beef tonight. Hope you’re celebrating, CL! |
I am another cabbage lady. I make a big ol' pot of cabbage soup 2x per month. I have never made it the same way. I eat 2 big bowls for dinner. I can't get enough of it! Pot lasts about 4 nights for me. So, 8 nights per month I have delicious cabbage soup for dindin.
Start experimenting! I don't use recipes. I always drop a few pounds those 2 weeks. |
I make this all the time, and my kids love it. |
Hm. There is only one CL on scum. |
Scum. Lol. |
Chiming in with a recipe I got from my mom (and which I love too!)
Thinly slice a red onion, and saute with shredded red cabbage and carrots. Add in a little spicy and sweet Thai ginger sauce (to taste), and serve in tortillas. So yummy. |
I only recently got into cabbage but you all are next level. I'm totally swiping some of these recipes and I think I'm going to sneak some gorgeous purple cabbage into my shrimp pad thai tonight!

Well, give us some ideas! I don't even know what cabbage soup is. |
