Exactly. If I were a parent at that school I would demand that every board member that allowed this resign. Where were the financial controls? They need to have an independent audit to determine what is going on and put financial controls in place otherwise no parents should make any donations to this financial cesspool.

Talk about incompetence.

I agree. Who is still around? They are all culpable and liable.

What was his real reputation at ERHS?

Excellent! This is all very shocking.

This would be a great novel, but Natasha may sue.

As a former employee I knew this day would come. I compliment the Washington Post for writing this article but they have barley scratched the surface on the levels of corruption and misappropriated funds. The chickens have come home to roost.

From the interview:
"Boarman helped take Bullis facilities “from a ‘B’ school to an ‘A’ school,” "

haha, Bullis is actually still very much a "C" school, and as we know now the C also stands for corrupt

Is it true that Dan Snyder was a big booster for Boarman behind the scenes?

Bullis only increased profile under Boarman only by sacrificing academic principles for athletic success. All the nonsense about facilities etc didn't mean anything. Bullis wanted to buy their way to the next level. So glad we left.

Interesting how the Post defines every expensive private school it covers as "elite". Bullis, St, Andrews. Come on man.

This story is shocking. Bullis parents should force out the entire board and demand that the teachers get paid more. I hope parents will wake up and demand change. This will do huge damage to Bullis - so unfortunate. The kids and teachers deserve better.

Anonymous wrote:Whoa. I can't imagine how dispirited the teachers are within that larger school culture, no matter how good the students are. You can do a lot in your individual classroom and department to alleviate rottenness from above, but this situation has to have affected teachers' ability to believe in their work.

Has there been a new head named?
Yes, there is a new head of school

What is the appeal of Bullis? Why do parents choose to send their children there with so many alternatives in the area?

Because their kids got rejected from Prep, Landon, Gonzaga.

Man, if I were one of the run-of-the-mill full pay families at a school like this, I'd be bitter. Those $$ going toward:

overpaid admins and their um, associates?

athletes?

opulent and unnecessary projects. (Really? They had to GO to Italy?).

I refuse to pay for the Washington Post. Can anybody summarize the story?
