I think she had to know something. He was in a very public trial. There have been pee jokes for years. Their kids are grown. I'm sure other kids said something and it got back home. I think she enjoyed the lifestyle and was in love. Remember, he divorced her. He said he watched The Notebook and realized he did not love his wife like that and could not continue the marriage. I do think Tyga is a sexual predator like R Kelly. But have you met her family? They are happy to whore out each and every member of their family. Her parents are also the ones who consented to her implants, Brazilian Butt Lift, and lip injections when she was 15/16. Having an adult date their teen daughter was not on their radar.

And in the press there was a decent amount of blacklash. TMZ was pretty prolific about them in their nightly show. And Black Chyna called

PLEASE people don’t let the only argument or comment you have after seeing this documentary be “I blame the parents” or “but he been like that.” This world is so sad! The only thing that should be said now is “how do we get justice” or “how can I support the Me Too movement.” How can we stop monsters like this from continuing to hurt women!!!? First thing you can do is stop listening/buying/steaming his music. No need to fund and or support this nasty MFer. Sit down and teach your kids that there are monsters like him everywhere and how to identify if someone may be in a similar situation.

The problem is that even with this knowledge, I don't think it speaks louder than fame and fortune. Parents and desperate teens will still turn a blind way, do mental gymnastics and accept some inappropriateness if they are lured with money and fame.

The general public can tut tut but really that does little.

I think the best outcome is for industry insiders to act - between this and metoo, hopefully over time there is a shift as to what is supported in the industry, what is kept quiet. That people will speak out when they see bad behavior, stop working with the bad guys, and put better polices in place to protect the young and vulnerable.

It is a very corrupt and unhealthy industry

It's not just women; it's children.

And yes, I will continue to blame the parents AND the predators. What loving parent pimps out his/her child? The parents in the documentary sent their kids to live with these men? WTH is that about?

When Aaliyah's parents found out about the marriage, they had it annulled and she had nothing to do with him after that, publicly. They probably thought that was the best outcome. Her career did not suffer and she did not speak about it. Unfortunately, we are not our sister's keeper. Who knows if there was some type of settlement. I can understand her mother being upset with Aaliyah being a part of the documentary because she cannot speak for herself and it all took place in the 90s. By the mid and late 90s, she was making hits without R. Kelly. Some parents give permission for their teens to marry. Her parents shut it down when they found out. Aaliyah's uncle was R. Kelly's manager at the time.

The trial happened after they were separated I believe. I read an article that was written when the trial was taking place and it mentioned that there were no friends and family at the trial and specifically stated that "his wife, who is divorcing him, was absent."
