Yea- NO THANKS! America really needs to develop a soul again some day. |
Costco pays their employees a decent wage and gives workers decent hours and great benefits. Costco isn’t perfect but overall it’s a good egg. A very good egg. |

I used to live in a town where there was three Walmart's and nothing else and I'm very grateful to have other options.
US taxpayers are literally subsidizing their low low low salaries. most Walmart workers are on some kind of Public Assistance because the salaries are too low. They tried to make everybody go part-time to avoid paying for Obamacare and of course that blew up in everyone's face. |
Costco has some incredible worker retention rates, you see lots of people there who have been working at Costco for 10 15 or 20 years |
| I have never been inside a Walmart and have no intention of ever doing so. |
This. Walmart is a horrible company. |
| Too many fat white people in Walmart. |
| Everything’s a mess at Walmart. It smells. The bathrooms are worse than truck stops. And apparently people poop their pants there regularly. I don’t feel safe or clean going there. |

• Because the parking lot is always a circus.
And there are never any decent parking spaces available after 2PM on weekdays + never (ever!!) on weekends. • Because the stores are always very crowded & they are filled w/horrible drivers. Cart drivers. • Everyone (including the employees) are just plain RUDE!
• It is a rare thing to get great customer service there. I attribute this to the fact that the people who work there are overworked while being grossly underpaid. • The owner’s are very rich. And they do not like to share. Regardless Walmart is still, and will always be my go to stop for toiletries, sundries, laundry soap, etc. vs. Target. Sure it is always a huge hassle to go & one must bring a large amount of stored patience, but the prices just cannot be beat!!!! |
| They always seem dirty and disorganized. |
and we supplement waiters and hairdressers by tipping. my last hair dresser was making 6 figures but I'm cheap if I only tip 15% |
The greedy owners understand that Americans have no soul, I see. Good business decision for them then. Enjoy your cheap stuff, I’m sure you need all of it. |
Which, in effect, is corporate welfare. But blame that lady on food stamps, anyway. |
Costco pays its workers a living wage and provides good benefits to them. |
It’s the benefits. My friend is working there ‘for the retirement benefits’ basically. |
