Better stick to Amazon, huh? |
Anyone? |
One of the PPs. I’ve really cut down my amazon shopping actually. I always check if I can get whatever elsewhere or just do without. |
| I like Walmart but there isn't one close to us. I think their clothing quality is better than Target. |
|
They treat their workers like crap - making them work extra unpaid hours and then not giving them health insurance because they ‘haven’t worked eniugh’. The pay is so low everyone needs food stamps or to hit the food bank.
The food they sell is largely processed junk. The merchandise is often cheap and there’s a lot of plastic junk sold that NO ONE NEEDS. Manufacturing that junk means pollution and slave labor in some other country . What’s to buy there anyway? Shampoo maybe? |
Me too. I don't want to deal with the fakes. I buy things like used dvd's, that's about it. |
| I actually like Walmart online features. In store pick up is real easy. Hardly ever have to wait to pick stuff up. Not renewing Prime this year. |
|
It's the clientele. I seriously don't know where these people come from but they come out of the woodwork. Obese and often wearing pajamas or worse skimpy clothes. I take my lunch at 2pm and sometimes go there then. It's packed. It's like no one works. People are slow, they clog the aisles, run into you with shopping carts and the kids are always screaming. Walmart just sucks.
I have none of these issues with Target and it's right down the street. |
|
I can’t deal with the people everywhere, blocking aisles, ignoring their screaming kids. The checkout lines are needlessly long. If I have to go there, I do it right when they open on a weekend.
I have similar issues with Ross and Costco. The people are inconsiderate. I can’t deal with it. |
They also won’t give people fixed schedules so they aren’t able to get other jobs. So they’re stuck with 30 hours a week at Walmart which won’t give you more hours bc then they have to provide benefits but also unable to pick up another job elsewhere. They use very deceptive tactics for driving out competitors, operating a store at a loss until the competitors close than raising their prices back up to normal levels. They fire any employees that try to organize and in general are value destructive for communities driving out better paying jobs at competitors |
| I use to hate Walmart then I started using the free 2 day shipping and now i absolutely love it |
| Does Costco drive out its competitors? |
This. I used to go to walmart for everything. Now I never do mainly because its not in any of my neighborhoods (in two states). |
| I don't like how messy everything is and the people who block the isles and think they own the aisles. No courtesy for other shoppers. |
It's illegal to fire employees for organizing or unionizing. |
