Why does everyone hate Walmart?

Yup. They are almost always faster than amazon and with better prices. I love it. I won't go to th store though because it depresses me. Their ordering system is on point though.

I know a couple people working at Walmart or Sam's who previously worked for smaller local or franchised stores. Both have provided concrete examples to show they're treated better at Walmart.

Also, the local inventor of a gardening product showed me how his more expensive, higher quality product was selected by Walmart, which was able to bring the price down because of mass production. It was manufactured in China but was rewarding innovation by an American company.

And Whole Foods?

Anyone?

Here! I don't shop at Whole Foods at all, and I am so fed up with the flood of Chinese vendors on Amazon that I have significantly decreased my shopping there. I don't even buy books there anymore, because they have screwed up those orders, too. Once I can wean my kid off Prime video, I am DONE! lol

On one hand I like Walmart just for the wider selection than Target. If I'm looking for a cheap plastic pitcher or bowl, Walmart has it, where Target will have something similar, but only from their <Latest designer> brand. There is a time and a place for nicer stuff at Target and another for when you just want a cheap ice cube tray or whatever.

Also, if your favorite drink comes in Raspberry Spearmint, Walmart will have it and all of the varieties. Where Target and grocery stores may only have the popular flavors.

But Walmart is also depressing because it represents to me epitome of mass consumerism. It's depressing having that much selection in one store. It's just so much plastic and crap that people walk out of there with.

I also don't like their move to having concrete floors. It just darkens the entire experience.

Amazon screws up my books order way more than any other order! It’s always a used, dirty creased book, or a new book that was just chucked in a too-bug box, so it arrives all bashed up. I shop in person at Barnes and Noble.

It’s just absolutely disgusting and messy.

Don’t shop at either and have no plans to start.

And if you buy stuff sold by walmart, you don't have to deal with fakes. Amazon.com. is overrun with fakes.

I stopped going there decades ago. Cashiers pick their noses.

OMG. What did you do? What happened to the man?

No customer service, they treat their employees badly while not paying them enough to get off public assistance.

Don’t pay their employees well, engage in union busting, sell cheap Chinese crap, have unappealing merchandise and shopping environment.

I paid for my batteries & left. The manager was dealing with it when I left. It was so terrible.

Because it's not Costco, which incidentally has put mom and pop companies out of business than Walmart. Just learned that today. So now I have a whole new opinion about Walmart.
