Except for the part where, ya know, you DON’T EAT.

No one cares about your intermittent fasting story. Bye!

DP. You don't see to understand the concept of not gaining weight or losing weight. It happens by not eating, or eating much, much less than previously. Your comment is asinine as you are looking for a medication that will stop you from eating but you criticize people who are doing just that without a controlled substance medication. I went without eating yesterday for 24 hours, I feel great!

LMAO

You keep laughing and keep being fat. To each their own.

Maybe one day... ONE DAY... being fat won't be such a moral failing that people can just live their lives and not have to worry about it. But, because of people like you, who obviously think fat is a horrific thing to be, I'll keep taking my prescription meds and hope to not draw your ire.

Maybe one day when you mature and don't post LMAO to somebody who knows how to stay slim you might gain an idea as to what your moral failing is. Being fat and taking prescription medicine is fine to you, but people who offer advice that works for them isn't? You are ugly inside and out, no matter your weight.

I’m a size 4, thanks. With a host of athletic accomplishments. There is absolutely nothing you can say to make me feel bad about myself, which is apparently how you get your fun—you can lose all the weight you want but you’ll still be ugly and miserable.

Size 0 here, so keep thinking size 4 is slim...keep posting LMAO since you are so pretty and not miserable and accomplished and educated...yep, LMAO is your go to smartness level.

You have mental problems if you think a size 4 is fat, and purposely feel compelled to come onto a thread to brag about how you don’t eat for a day and feel great. I suggest therapy because you are clearly unhappy and mentally ill.

I've been off for about 3 weeks because I had a cold and wanted to take decongestants. I do get dry mouth when I take the phen. Otherwise no side effects. I work out hard with a heart rate monitor and do not notice any difference in heart rate when I'm on it. The program has been great for me because I just eat a lot less and have stopped snacking altogether. I have about 30 pounds to go and plan for that to take another several months at least.

Thanks for this. I am the poster above who mentioned cycling off and on. Did your blood pressure go up on Phen? Mine did (I assume due to the Phen, but not sure). I assume that if I DID take the full dose of Phen (vs half), my BP would rise even more. I am not sure, so I am sticking with 1/2 for now.

My BP has not changed, though this is one thing that Anchors checks, so it might be a side effect for some people. Some side effects are temporary though, so it might be worth checking again in a couple weeks. Good luck!

where do I go to get this medication?
Anonymous
Dr anchors in Gaithersburg
BeLite centers in Nova have a similar drug, I think
Anonymous
I have been taking it since October with the Belite group.

They also prescribe another substance called 5-HTP, which you can get OTC (like on Amazon, GNC, etc). It helps with cravings and some appetite too.

I have lost nearly 40 pounds with it, calorie counting, sweets removal, and mild exercise.

I actually don't really need it much longer because I feel I have retrained my body/mind. There are some days I miss a dose but am still on track...

Good luck.

Mine has actually gone down....

can you drink on this thing?

Yes. Dr Anchors says alcohol is fine as long as it's part of a meal. Nothing but water between meals.

Anonymous wrote:Can anyone recommend a doc in the dC area that prescribes it OTHER than Anchors? He creeped me out.

Really? Why?

He was very nice and quite knowledgeable. I wouldn't exactly want to date him, but he certainly did nothing that I found inappropriate. He's clearly a Francophile, but that's hardly a major failing.

NP. Because that's insulting. You think people wake up fat one day and immediately call Dr. Anchors for a prescription? You think that they haven't heard the advice to eat clean/smaller meals/exercise daily/etc etc? You really think they haven't already tried all of that? This is no different than the "mommy judgment" that runs rampant nowadays.

And no, not every single fat person tries hard to lose weight but let's be honest, most of them probably do. And I don't want to hear the story of your neighbor Larla who puts away twelve pizzas a day, because you should really be smart enough to realize that us fatties don't go around bragging about our weight struggles and diet fails. It's embarrassing. Sometimes we overcompensate because it feels like nothing works so you might as well just eat what you want.

Thanks for the info. How much 5-HTP are they having you take?

My objection is to criticizing people who fast and laughing at them on this thread, while justifying the decision to take medication that will cause the similar effect. So, yes, I find that a hypocrisy. What is there to laugh at if somebody is successfully fasting hence eating much less while at the same time thinking that taking medication that has the same effect is fine? So, I am very offended by LMAO poster. There is nothing to LMAO at people who are sharing their success stories. Please explain the LMAO comment? I can't think of why would somebody be laughing at person who shared how they are successfully fasting and how that person has the right to call them a laughable? "Except for the part, where ya know, you don't eat," writes a pp. But isn't that exactly what phentermine will do? Make you not eat and/or eat much less? BTW, I am not the first pp in this quote. Some honest pps have shared what works for them in intermittent fasting thread, and how they successfully lost weight, but here they are to be laughed at? If a person just plain said, I tried that I can't do it, as opposed to "your IF is LMAO," then I would understand their point. Otherwise, hypocrisy of the worst kind.

The LMAO was to “I haven’t eaten in 24 hours, I feel great!!!!!”
