I'm fed up. Making an Appt for Phentermine

Just FYI, intermittent fasting has had the same effect on my hunger and emotional eating as some of you describe this medication might have. If you haven't yet tried it, it's free, has no unhealthy side effects (if don't properly), and might be worth trying before you go on a medication with lots of side effects.

I have an appointment today at 230. Will update

Except for the part where, ya know, you DON’T EAT.

No one cares about your intermittent fasting story. Bye!

Also, the only side effect I had with Phen was dry mouth. Felt great otherwise.

I have tried it a few times over the years. It works great for me, but only for a couple of months. After that, the effect completely stops. I have lost 12 pounds on it twice, but sadly, not kept it off. My worst side effect was constipation.

I'm thinking about trying it. I lost 30 lbs on my own with diet and have kept it off for a year but I'm stuck and can't seem to lose anymore.

I'm 170 5'7" so I would like to lose 10-20 more lbs

Can anyone recommend a doc in the dC area that prescribes it OTHER than Anchors? He creeped me out.

Went to a Dr in NY.

She took blood, urine, vitals and measured body fat percentage. Went over a pretty generic diet plan- low carb, low fat. 3x a day. She did say I could go as low as 800 calories and as high as 1200. She said she would aim for a middle ground. I was given a bag of vitamins ( horse pills I won't be taking. I'll stick to my regular vitamins). And a bag of non rx appetite suppressants. These are benzocaine, chromium, gum mix. Brand name cell press plus.

In two weeks I have to go back to go over lab results and to see what rx would be best. She thinks I have anxiety due to my heart rate being high and mentioned using a different rx since ok phen makes anxiety worse. I said I really wanted to give the phen a try even if we need to ease on it.

So I guess we will see in two weeks. I was really hoping I could walk out with them today but I guess it's not bad to wait for results

What intervals did you use? I normally eat at 10 am, and then at 7 pm. Have not lost any weight.
What are you eating to lose weight???

It makes it way easier for me to come home from work hungry, and actually cook a healthy meal without diving headfirst into something carby because I have to eat "RIGHT NOW". It's allowed me to get to the gym 3x a week because it gives me energy. I get that it's not ideal. I'd like to say that this is motivated by vanity, because I'm honest- it is. But it's also about the fact that I want to take control of my weight NOW (32 years old) before the scale continues to creep and I have no one to blame for my overweight related health issues but myself.

Coke does the same thing.

I've been on it for a month, down 11 lbs, and it's been a breeze. I have to remind myself to eat. I'd like to lose another 20 to be at my ideal weight.

The larger you are, the bigger the numbers you'll shed each month, in general. My sister did phen and lost 23 lbs her first month, but she had a little over 100lbs to lose compared to my 25-30.

No real side effects... a little dry mouth for a few days. No racing heart. Just TONS of energy and no hunger or cravings.

It’s that hard for you to not eat for a period of time? That’s sad.
