Just FYI, intermittent fasting has had the same effect on my hunger and emotional eating as some of you describe this medication might have. If you haven't yet tried it, it's free, has no unhealthy side effects (if don't properly), and might be worth trying before you go on a medication with lots of side effects.
Except for the part where, ya know, you DON’T EAT. No one cares about your intermittent fasting story. Bye!
DP. You don't see to understand the concept of not gaining weight or losing weight. It happens by not eating, or eating much, much less than previously. Your comment is asinine as you are looking for a medication that will stop you from eating but you criticize people who are doing just that without a controlled substance medication. I went without eating yesterday for 24 hours, I feel great!
LMAO
You keep laughing and keep being fat. To each their own.
Maybe one day... ONE DAY... being fat won't be such a moral failing that people can just live their lives and not have to worry about it. But, because of people like you, who obviously think fat is a horrific thing to be, I'll keep taking my prescription meds and hope to not draw your ire.
Maybe one day when you mature and don't post LMAO to somebody who knows how to stay slim you might gain an idea as to what your moral failing is. Being fat and taking prescription medicine is fine to you, but people who offer advice that works for them isn't? You are ugly inside and out, no matter your weight.
NP. Because that's insulting. You think people wake up fat one day and immediately call Dr. Anchors for a prescription? You think that they haven't heard the advice to eat clean/smaller meals/exercise daily/etc etc? You really think they haven't already tried all of that? This is no different than the "mommy judgment" that runs rampant nowadays. And no, not every single fat person tries hard to lose weight but let's be honest, most of them probably do. And I don't want to hear the story of your neighbor Larla who puts away twelve pizzas a day, because you should really be smart enough to realize that us fatties don't go around bragging about our weight struggles and diet fails. It's embarrassing. Sometimes we overcompensate because it feels like nothing works so you might as well just eat what you want.
My objection is to criticizing people who fast and laughing at them on this thread, while justifying the decision to take medication that will cause the similar effect. So, yes, I find that a hypocrisy. What is there to laugh at if somebody is successfully fasting hence eating much less while at the same time thinking that taking medication that has the same effect is fine? So, I am very offended by LMAO poster. There is nothing to LMAO at people who are sharing their success stories. Please explain the LMAO comment? I can't think of why would somebody be laughing at person who shared how they are successfully fasting and how that person has the right to call them a laughable? "Except for the part, where ya know, you don't eat," writes a pp. But isn't that exactly what phentermine will do? Make you not eat and/or eat much less? BTW, I am not the first pp in this quote. Some honest pps have shared what works for them in intermittent fasting thread, and how they successfully lost weight, but here they are to be laughed at? If a person just plain said, I tried that I can't do it, as opposed to "your IF is LMAO," then I would understand their point. Otherwise, hypocrisy of the worst kind.
