About time the New York Times exposed the sham marriage [GREAT piece today]

Miss Piggy and Miss Housekeeping is hearsay from a woman who served as an accessory to murder, threatened the life of a federal judge, and delivered an anchor baby fathered by a Mexican drug lord. Real credible source.

The majority of women would have dumped him.

I agree - especially women who shared similar credentials.

Can you imagine some of our "best" DCUM female attorneys making excuses for their high-profile husbands?

wouldn't happen unless they were completely insecure or so into appearances that they'd be willing to share their husband's penis with the world

I do wonder about the women who support Hillary with these excuses that she "did it for the family" or that it was "their personal business." makes me think they married a Bill, too

Are you 30? I know many women at this point in my career that this has happened to. I learned that I never know how I am going to react if it happened to me. One can never understand another person's marriage. To pass judgment is immature.

Ouch.

Hillary is ruthless as a politician and THE thing that makes me queasy about her is the way she relentlessly worked to destroy Flowers and Lewinsky. Women who did not deserve to have their names and lives muddied because of her philandering husband. As a feminist this makes me sick. I'm voting for Gary Johnson.

The article missed the alleged rape victims of Bill Clinton and Hillary's intimidation against them. She is an enabler.

Right they just missed a big chunk of the story. Maybe because there is no evidence other than your fevered imagination.

I'd respect Hillary if she had divorced Bill in 1998 and went on to become Senator, Secretary of State, and POTUS nominee. Instead she went on the Today show and lied to the public telling Matt Lauer it was all a conspiracy. In truth she was running the "bimbo eruption" war room with James Carville to intimidate and ruin Bill's countless mistresses.

No bimbo eruption war room? No payoffs? Bill isn't a disbarred lawyer?

Can we offer a measure of sympathy to Bill who has, after all, had to live with Hillary and her reputed craziness!

So humourous to see unethical liberals spin this as true love because they stayed together. Yeah, Bill perpetually shaming the family while mommy orchestrates attacks on all his side skanks is such a heartfelt narrative.

I don't understand Trump supporters take on this. If skank shaming is wrong, didn't Trump do this much more recently by trying to discredit Machado's remarks by saying she had been in a sex tape? A few days ago, in 2016, not 1996.

I'm sure you will have some rationalization for why a direct statement from Trump in the present day using a woman's sexual history to discredit her charges against him is okay, whereas Hillary is the devil, but it would sure be entertaining to hear it.

Good luck with that...
We barely know Gary Johnson, whereas HRC's life has been scrutinized on the international stage for 25 years. If you feel comfortable that, upon further scrutiny, we'd find nothing in Gary's closet...then go for it. Vote for Mr. "And what is Aleppo?," who can't even name a single world leader.

So funny to watch conservatives twist themselves into pretzels to pretend they think a man with five kids by three different women is somehow morally more upright than a woman who stayed married to her cheating husband.

I'm conservative but not thinking that at all. I'm disgusted by the actions and antics of both of these candidates. I was leaning a tad towards HRC, but the whole Democrat nomination process and Debbie W-S's dishonesty disgusts me. I just can't believe HRC didn't cut ties with her.

In the early 90s? Times were different then. I knew plenty of people who stayed in marriages that, to an outsider, looked to have excellent reason to leave.

np

For me it has never been about staying. That's a personal choice. It has been more about the actions taken against those involved.

My 9 year old is better equipped to be president than Gary Johnson. At least my fourth grader knows what's happening in Aleppo and can name several world leaders.

No takers, I see. Just more hypocrisy from the Trump camp who thinks they can have it both ways.

I think Clinton is not blameless here, but to me what Trump did was even worse because he is doing this shit now in 2016, and he is saying this stuff himself, in 2016, and not just participating in it twenty years ago. The idea of using a woman's sexual past to discredit the truth of her statements is much more understood as wrong today than it was in 1996.
