Clearly you've never been to Yoyogi Sushi. Each piece of their roll is easily twice the size of your "teeny" rolls. They are mongo and cheap.

Whole Foods sushi is nasty and way over priced. No good.

Sometimes if I'm desperate I may grab a small roll and a dozen or two of the shrimps dumpings from the seafood dept. Take it home, fry them shrimps dumpings up and mmmhhhmhmhmhmhmhmmmMMMM

My usual order is:

1 (or 2) sweet potato tempura rolls with cream cheese
1 California Roll
1 Salmon Roll
2 (or 3) Salmon hand rolls
1 Shrimps tempura roll. Gotta luv them shrimps.

NP here. I was going to say around 8-10.

I am 5'4" tall, 50 yr old married woman who weighs 125 pounds.

I think it is delicious! Haven't had it in ages, though. I typically get 6 pieces of raw salmon on the rice, 4 pieces of ebi (cooked shrimp on the rice.) Always with extra ginger, some wasabi/soy, and sometimes edamame. I would get more but it is pricey $$$.

Note to Big Boy:

The plural of shrimp is shrimp, NOT shrimps.

There is absolutely no way that you eat 8-10 full rolls (6 pieces each - so up to 60 pieces) at a place that sells gigantic Americanized cream cheese stuffed rice balls like yoyogi. Check out the pictures on yelp! These are not dainty.

I always say shrimps. Makes it sound cooler. Shrimps. Shrimps. Shrimps.

What?! Are we talking about the same thing? My whole family can't eat 8-10 rolls.

Do it regularly. Several times a month at least. Sometimes several times a week.

I'm shocked by the "big boy." Not only is that a ton of sushi, it is a ton of fat, cream, fried foods, etc.

I think you're confusing small sushi rolls with the maki-type large specialty rolls with cream cheese and all sorts of filling. (i.e. not really authentic sushi).

I think what the "big boy" listed are the teeny rolls. Something like this: http://www.sushiencyclopedia.com/how_to_make_sushi/how_to_make_sushi_rolls/how_to_make_thin_sushi_rolls.html

vs this: http://www.opensourcefood.com/people/aplaisia/recipes/soft-shell-crab-roll-or-spider-roll

No, he was very clear. You describe the type of roll that I eat - small, bite-sized pieces. He is clearly talking about fried food with cream cheese and a bunch of rice. Sushi only in that there is a seaweed wrap. The pictures of his spot are here:

I eat sashimi with miso soup and seawed salad no rice. Keeps me pretty full.
