My usual order is:

1 (or 2) sweet potato tempura rolls with cream cheese
1 California Roll
1 Salmon Roll
2 (or 3) Salmon hand rolls
1 Shrimps tempura roll. Gotta luv them shrimps.

Are you sure you're not confusing individual pieces with whole rolls?

No, I'm not. I'm talking 6 piece rolls on each of those. I need at least 35 individual pieces to fill me up. I'm a big boy.

I can see that. Some rolls are itty bitty baby rolls.

I don't need a large amount of sushi to feel full. but I often get hungry soon after eating sushi. I think it's because there isn't much fat in a lot of fish unless you consciously order fatty tuna.

As sushi is expensive, I don't order a lot and keep eating once I'm full. I just accept the fact that I'll need a snack later, like Greek yogurt.

I have 1.5 rolls usually, but it does depend. I will usually do edamame too.

DH and I usually split two rolls and 3-4 pieces of sushi.

Yoyogi Sushi is cheap as hell. Good food to.

Well, no wonder

Dang, people, now I want to have some sushi for lunch!

I usually eat the Chirashi (pieces of fish over rice). I don't understand how so many of you eat so little. I couldn't just eat two rolls and consider it dinner. Lunch, yes.

We share two rolls and 10 nigiri. One roll may have tempura in it, but the other is pure fish and cucumber.

I'm shocked by the "big boy." Not only is that a ton of sushi, it is a ton of fat, cream, fried foods, etc.

it isn't that much. It's probably equal to a regular dinner in terms of calories, fat, etc.

Ha! A regular dinner for you, perhaps, but not for some of us who eat healthy.

One roll

If it is dinner and I've been anticipating a big meal all day, I may also have an app like seaweed salad, miso soup/salad, or veggie tempura.

Though I would say I am satisfied after a sushi meal it doesn't leave me stuffed like some other cuisines can. That is good.

This is me, too. I'll usually split some edamame or have some miso soup as well. I usually can't finish my second roll and share with DH.

I am a teeny tiny person, 5 foot 1, 105 lbs. I can eat a shit ton of sushi. At my favorite place, I usually get 4 pieces of sashimi sushi, 1 spicy tuna roll, 1 speciality roll (it's got salmon, tuna, roe, and eel, I think it's specific to the place), a cup of miso soup, and split a roll with my husband (rainbow roll, dragon roll, etc.). And I mean entire rolls. And I eat kind of slow, so I am aware of the volume.

Some people just can eat a lot, and it makes it super expensive for me.

Not pp but THANK YOU! I though people were talking about individual pieces and that is what roll meant... I was shocked all these people would eat only 2 little pieces and feel full!!!
