This is what I believe. I think she got hard evidence of his homosexuality, and threatened exposure if he didn't accept that she gets Suri. And Katie clearly planned it very, very carefully.

Not the same with Nicole. She was pregnant, and blind-sided by TC, and then miscarried. And at first, as I recall, the kids did spend time with her. It was later that they cut her off. I don't blame her for that.

I'm the OP and I still don't understand why it hasn't been reported that Tom has gone to see Suri. Despite whatever Katie has on him, if Suri was really my child and I loved her, I would have made time and effort to go and see her. Even if he went to NY and Katie and her bodyguards wouln't let him in, I would have gone. Scientology cannot possibly be better than a hug or kiss or smile from your child. So something's not adding up to me.

It's one of the reasons why I believe he knew she wanted out and was going to do something (maybe just not this soon.)

those older kids were frickin' brainwashed by the cult. they were turned against their mother. Katie cut off ties with the older girl who was working for her company a few months before this happened. She was seeking to cut off all ties with the cult. It is sad those adopted children did not have somebody strong enough to pull them out of that cult when they were young.

I saw Kidman interview on this topic. She said the kids were old enough to make the decision (tweens or young teens maybe?) and that the LA lure was just too strong versus her life in Tennessee or wherever. So she let them decide and they chose to live with Tom.

That's weird, when Tom and Katie were on Oprah their beautiful home was shown. They lived in the mountains of Colorado or something, but it was definitely not LA or California for that matter.

I admit, I was somewhat in a minor depression during this time of my life. Once they started talking about assessment, my girlfriend pulled me out of there. I never heard from them again.

Sadly, they were definitely NOT old enough to decide such a thing. The oldest was like 6. My theory, which will piss of adoptee parents (I'm one) is that it was because they were not her bio children and that they were bi-racial. They treat them like fashion accessories. It's horrible. Brad Pitt will do this to all those "world kids" of his and that crazy Angelina eventually, just watch.
