This is what I do not understand, if he was truly blindsided with her filing, why didn't he leave that movie set and go home to see her and Suri? It would have helped his image.

Her contract was up. He did not want to "reconcile". I wouldn't be suprised if the whole thing were staged given the instant agreement they came to.

I think it's awesome that she might actually have rescued herself and her child. Again, truth is stranger than fiction.

The guy is in a bat shit cult, plain and simple. She just was not going to let her DD be raised in a cult. She probably realized that it's one thing for her to go along with the crazy just to be Mrs. Cruise, but she could not shield her DD from it. They wanted to brainwash the kid. Didn't Mimi Rogers introduce him to scientology? I agree, I would love to hear the backstory. But if I had a kid and I was interested in creating a somewhat normal life, I'd probably happily honor the confidentiality clause. Just to move on.

Just looked it up. They were married for 2 years and she's 6 years older. So I guess Tom was 25 when they got married.
