I saw Kidman interview on this topic. She said the kids were old enough to make the decision (tweens or young teens maybe?) and that the LA lure was just too strong versus her life in Tennessee or wherever. So she let them decide and they chose to live with Tom.

That's fine she let them live with their father (he actually seems like a good dad), but you never see her with those kids. It really made me lose respect for her.

Nicole didn't leave the kids. They had split custody. As time went on, the $clent0l0gy people surrounding Tom turned the kids against her- she was labeled a suppressive person.

I hate even posting about this "religion" because they scour the internet for negative posts about them. I'll be back with some links.
