The United States Feels Like a Sad, Empty, Dark Place

Tell that to the whole world, not just Op, because thanks to social media that even people in small villages in developing countries have access to, most everyone is envious of what others have and into consumerism.

Agree, I have relatives overseas who think they are movie stars, it’s laughable and sad. Thanks social media for corrupting all that was once good. All humility is gone and what remains is a shallow pool of entitled brainwashed vapid individuals.

The US has been through hard times before, and POC know this acutely. Many of us had very hard childhoods. Feel sad, then join the resistance.

Agree, put things into perspective. If you are unable to do that, go volunteer at a homeless shelter. Or go try living in any other country and see how fun, easy and safe it is compared to here.

The problem is that generally people born after like 1980 have been coddled in addition to being totally addicted to social media. They have no other perspective. This is all they know. They think they’re smart but completely lack any critical thinking skills, are very influenced by groupthink and trends. They’re so unbelievably superficial and shallow. We preach acceptance and diversity yet everyone must fit into some arbitrary narrow little box in order to feel a sense of belonging.

MAGAs make us that way.

And MAGAs are all sunshine and rainbows. Their entire agenda is based on anger, hatred, jealousy, and contempt.

MAGAs are delusional idiots. Get off social media and find some nonMAGAs to hang out with. Stop looking at the internet, it’s hard because you’re addicted like the rest of the world. Join a 12 step program perhaps.

Lose one election. . .

The 4th is this week. I suggest you watch some fireworks if you don’t have anyone to get together with for a bbq or whatever you are into. Find some joy somewhere. There will be celebrations all over.

Or, better yet, participate in a Free America, anti-Trump protest. They will be taking place nationwide on July 4.

Imagine the therapy and medications Democrats will need should Vance become president for the next 8 years after Trump The Great.

This is what happens when you are never told “no” as a child: when you don’t get your way, the world is doomed and, somebody will pay for it.

I shudder to think of the revenge politics that will arise should Democrats get their power back. They will have no mercy.

Love my country and living here. Best thing, you’re free to leave.

Is there no happy medium anymore? It’s one extreme or the other? That is sad.

There is no pleasure living in the US due to politics, standards of living, how expenses it is, the lack of real freedoms, half of the country engulfed by the maga cult even when facts stare them in the face, a broken and cruel SCOTUS who insists on unlimited executive power that has sealed our fates as a country, AI taking over, and tech bros being clearly in charge, our way of life being dismantled, education on its knees…there is no amount of praying that will ever see us through, it’s over for all of us. It’s too late.

Apparently, 20,000,000 people who risked everything these past four years to walk here disagree.

This is true but we people also seem to be ignoring and burying their head in the sand which isn't good either. A lot is going on and we need to be aware and YES get out and do something.
